This was so good but he got one little detail wrong. He said Dame can't even play defense anymore. Sorry man but Dame could never even play defense. I love Dame though but defense has never been his strength.
What's more, he made Dame sound like a spoiled child who would take his ball and go home if he didn't get his way. If I'm Dame, I'm telling that mouthpiece to STFU.
There are those of us who went through the Walton divorce. Now THAT was acrimonious. The 77-78 team was our greatest ever, even better than 90-91.
I wasn't even mad at Dame... but these fucking mouthpieces for Dame are making me mad at him. This shit is getting so annoying. Did we make the offers to Brooklyn and Toronto or not? This shit about the team lying, or not trying to do anything..... they either made those offers or they didn't. And there are multiple reports that they did make those offers.
Every Blazers fan should be wanting Damian to Boston if they want what's best not only for Portland, but Damian Lillard. They'd definitely be sending Jaylen Brown to a third team. A team he'd want to play for who has a treasure trove of assets and is actively trying to get better with veterans. And that's Houston. Jabari Smith, Tar Eason and Amen Thompson come to mind. I bet we could get two out of three in addition to picks. We need lottery level prospects back in addition to picks. The Lakers gave up 3 lottery talents which two out of the three became all-stars.
2 young studs and an expiring plus 3 1s (2 from Mia, 1 from SA)? Scoot Sharpe Jovic Sochan Allen(trade Grant at deadline)
There are reports that they did. I've also heard that they made multiple runs at OG over the last year because he fills a need and Dame likes him. So once again, they were trying to acquire a player Dame wanted, much like Grant. But Masai didn't want to play ball. He knew what Portland was trying to do and his 'ask' for OG was ridiculous. No sane GM was going to make that trade. So now some accuse Joe of not doing what he said he would do and play a particular video over and over and over. What they seem to miss is a very important word near the beginning....."try". There was no guarantee, and with trade mates like Ujiri, it was going to be tough to make a deal without getting totally owned.
I just flat out can't listen to the people who want to spend hours whining about what happened. I want to focus on the future. It's over. It's done. Dame wants out. The milk is spilt. Let's clean that shit up and pour a new fucking glass.
All of them are in their early 20’s (with the exception of a certain podcaster who is a grown ass man). I get it though. They grew up idolizing Dame on their favorite team. But they don’t realize this is a business. Most of them haven’t been exposed to the real world where business is cut throat. Look at Miami, even they pushed Dwyane Wade out late in his career. A man that brought that franchise all of their titles. The Lakers chose Kobe over Shaq. The Spurs traded Kawhi to Toronto. The Warriors moved off Jordan Poole right after signing him to an extension. Championship franchises make difficult decisions. The whining and crying doesn’t bother me that much. It’s the fact that some of these kids really want Portland to settle for a lesser deal because they think Dame deserves to go to Miami. That’s infuriating.
Yeah, SAS ain't giving up Sochan as a third team in this deal. SAS would largely be supplying picks in this scenario.
This is the guy that publicly asks for a Netflix password on twitter because he's so cheap. No chance in hell. I think that is the leverage Portland has. Withholding pay if he sits out games.
LOL. Love this but why the hell does SA give up Sochan for two overpaid guys that we don't want on bad contracts. I call bullshit.
I’ve not seen many get owned the way he did. My favorite part was at the end when they said they would take his NBA Press Pass. that dude ain’t on this board is he?
27 stated that 'Dame spoke up' 12 hrs before it hit national media. I saw it before going to sleeping
One of my favorite parts of this situation is seeing just how shitty of a trade other fans think is realistic to get Dame. So far, the worst I've seen is Dame for Keldon Johnson + FRP. I like Johnson a lot, but that's less than half of what should be returned from SAS. What have you all heard?
