That was probably me. It's great that it was at an all time high, the actual product isn't good. Just like the NFL. lol. It's like coca-cola. The actual product flies off the shelves, but it still isn't good. lol.
The only obligation we have is to send him to a winner. Boston has at least equal chance to win, if not better. And they can offer a better package to a third team which means we'd be getting way better prospects. But as usual, Joe doesn't care and will let the player dictate the destination. Even if we get 25 cents on the dollar.
Aldridge, Fentress, and the rest of the so called media are so stuck on what Dame wants. Don't hurt the feelings of the multimillionaire star player. Send him to Miami and take a nothing deal back so we can both give away our star and be laughed at for it. No thanks. Lots of respect for Dame and what he has done for us, but the FO has to do what is best for the team. We have to get the best deal. We cannot get fleeced on this. He has 4 years left on his contract. He isn't an expiring or free agent. We dictate where he goes, when, and for what.
Do you know this without a shadow of doubt? No question. Or is this just an emotional response during an emotional time? Cause that's okay too. This shit is wrecking me fam lol.
I think Jabari's press time yesterday was telling. I think the players are tired of Dame's drama and bullshit and they personal lives are stuck in the middle of it.
Everyone is saying there's a deal with Miami. Just need to wait on Jaques and Herro I believe. Look at Cronin's history in trades. He was never going to get a haul.
the reason I believe the “gotta wait to be able to trade Herro” stuff is net zero information is bd side Dame can’t be traded until after Herro is available so like, who cares if Herro can or not? That deadline didn’t matter on Dame’s end obviously so why would it matter on Miami’s? I think rumors around that hurdle are speculation at best.
I think there's the other thing the Miami media and national media don't want to put into the narrative but more pundits are starting to pick up on: Dame isn't going to refuse to show up to play for a contending team. Honestly, I don't think he'd refuse to show up and play for any team, but a team that could win it or get to the conference finals with him? He might not be the "built different" guy we were sold the past decade, but he's still a professional and he's still smart. If he gets traded to the Pelicans or Celtics, refusing to play because he only wanted to play for the Heat is PR suicide among other things. He might be miffed at the Blazers, but why should anyone with the Blazers care? He's not going to be playing in Portland. The Blazers don't owe him anything. There aren't any consequences for the Blazers doing what's best for him, contrary to what the chicken littles say. His new team is the one that owes it to him to get a deal done.
Nope. Blazers organization owe Dame nothing. If fans want to be fans of his wherever he plays next, that's up to them, but we really don't owe him anything either, especially after this stunt and attempted power play. If the Wizards had the best assets to trade for him, I'd send him there and wouldn't bat an eyelash.
I agree, broham but you're kidding yourself if you think sell-low Joe is sending him anywhere but Miami.
