Cot Damn i hope Joe doesn't fold here. Fuck the rest of the NBA. Give zero fucks about what they think. Fuck 'em all. STAY FIRM JOE. I support you
It is most definitely not just Riley. Dames camp is working overtime right now. Haynes Fentress Marang There are so many shills out there right now pushing Dames bullshit that it’s like they all just got a job in water treatment.
The rumors like the one below are encouraging. If true that the Nets are desperate to get rid of Ben's contract, then maybe we do land more picks than I thought. Tweet @BobSacamano_5 "Makes sense that Nets are looking to give up Ben and his big contract in any deal involving Herro as the team does not want to go back into the tax, which they’re not in right now. The question is how much draft compensation are the Nets willing to give up for Herro and getting off Ben"
The advantage we have is time, it really doesn’t matter if we don’t get a deal done all summer. We are rebuilding and will suck this season. Mia wants this done asap to see who they need to add after the trade and the longer that takes the more of those guys will be signed elsewhere.
I haven't paid attention to Fentress or Marang, but not surprised. Whether it's warranted or not it sure does seem like Dame feels Cronin/Jody/Kolde/Vulcans mislead him. Some scorched earth going on this was always going to come down to Cronin's willingness to hold the line right up to the point it starts to actually damage Portland's future. Dame's value, IMO, will not be higher at the trade deadline and it sure won't be higher after a season of discontent in Portland
Fentress works for the Oregonian and he’s trash. Marang used to be a poster on here and someone decided to pay him money to listen to his arrogant rants. He’s on 1080 now.
I take this as a hint that Dame and the Heat think they are losing ground or don't feel they have any ground to stand on in the first place. They're going all out pushing an emotional narrative that's very easily rebutted. We're already seen a few national pundits with pretty big followings like Broussard and Cowherd come out for the Blazers in this. I suspect they won't be the last to do so. Dame's making himself more and more of the big bad, and when you build a reputation that you're on another level in terms of righteousness, it attracts detractors like vultures when the hypocrisy starts to show.
It will likely take years to know the return. The trade by Chicago for Valenciunas was given an "A" rating and Orlando got a "B" at the time of the trade. Now, it looks like a cluster F$#% for Chicago, and a huge win for Orlando.
I politely disagree that Portland has the advantage of time. Certainly, they don't have to rush into a trade in the next 2 weeks, but this situation will get worse as it starts to drag into training camp, if it goes that far. I suppose with TC approaching, Miami might get a little more desperate, but their assets won't get better
Miami seems to think nobody else wants Dame and are bidding accordingly. Unfortunately for them, Nurkic and Dame to Brooklyn instantly turns Brooklyn into a contender. Lose-lose for Miami. Riley won't look so smart knowing he was Dame's preferred destination.
Watched one Marang podcast and that was all it took to realize he's a complete and utter toolbag/asshat. Pretended to take a fake call during his podcast when Cronin announced we are committed to building around Dame. How in the fuck do these folks get a following? They don't know jack shit. They do the pied piper work for the players thinking it's going to benefit them down the road. Fn losers.
What's sad, is he will explore all avenues, talk with his staff of of professionals, and make the best deal available. In return, the will be fans on Twitter and message forms, who literaly have no sense of reality, suggesting he folded. Ducking lame, but it's the price one pays to reach the top of their game in a business like this.
