Nurk needs to stay off Twitter. He's not doing himself any favors, but maybe he figures he will be gone anyhow and doesn't care.
I think he’s a real sensitive dude, them looking to trade him since last deadline probably has him on tilt. I want him gone so bad.
FAKE. Please stop falling for it. 20 literally has a twitter post saying all others are FAKE. He just deactivates and activates his account. This is his last tweet today: He's gone silent on Dame stuff probably because there has been no movement.
He definitely knows he's gone. In fact, if he's not by the beginning of the season, my guess is his agent just requests that he stays away until we can move him. In the Bill Simmons "worst contracts" podcast, they called Nurkic in the top 7 worst, because of his complete failure to do anything for which he is paid. It was a pretty brutal takedown. Of course, Nurk is laughing all the way to the bank, so of course he doesn't care what he does on Twitter.
Brown's contract being up at the end of this season would give me real pause. If we trade Dame for a one season rental that we wouldn't be too competitive in, then we're fucked. That being said if there were other teams involved that would be good value. Also if that offer and more so the value it represents is on the table it gives Cronin leverage in negotiations with other teams.
Nurk is skilled, but his mental state makes him too much of a loose cannon. You never know when he's going to check out.
Appreciate it. Last one we tried ended up about OJ getting you know what’d in prison. Started out talking about my friends trip to Scotland. Certainly not for everyone. If anyone
The longer this goes on the more Dame gets vocal through channels. I hope like hell we don't take the bait. He can sit on his ass all season for all i care.
I am curious, will the Blazers lose valuation as an organization if that take a bad trade back for Damien?
Neither party has 100% leverage. If Dame and his folks are telling the other 29 teams he doesn't want to play for them, that will, at minimum, reduce their interest and therefore the quality of the offer. Obviously Dame is under contract for a while and is highly unlikely to sit out, so that would minimize the leverage, but no team will want to give up the house for Dame to end up in the same media trade demand fiasco Portland is in right now.
