fans can blame Lillard for making Cronin have to wait to sign FA's.

more ammo for Joe's security detail

Exactly!! what would you do?? Hmmm? It's not easy being a GM. What would you do?? You armchair GM's all think you're better then Cronin? What would you do ??

that excuse is being spilled daily by the Blazers media representatives.

Portland had opportunities to get good players last trade deadline, and into this summer. They did nothing except snagging Thybulle and re-signing a Grant max contract.

Hachimura, Saddiq Bey, Naz Reid, etc.
The list of ballers Portland passes up grows bigger as we all "wait" for a Lillard trade. Therefore, blame Dame for everything. Cronin can only trade/sign good players if opponents hand them over with a bow attached? That's called getting punked in the GM world.

We can't do anything until we figure out what we're getting for Lillard. I'm fine with just signing vet min guys or 10 day contracts to fill out our roster until he's moved, even if it goes to the trade deadline next January. We're not winning anything, so why make commitments to players who may not fit?

Good post. My only thought on the waiting is Dame not getting younger. But hey, if he's not playing, he ain't getting hurt either.

    exactly !!
It's Lillard's fault Grant Williams just signed with Dallas and Reggie Bullock is a Spur.

Blame Dame !! It's so easy, everyone can do it.

Who said it was Lillard's fault? What an asinine take. I merely said that we are unable to make long-term decisions until we know what we're getting in return.

Maybe it's time to step away from the keyboard for a while. You're not thinking clearly.

Christian Wood was born on September 27, 1995, in Long Beach, California, Wood grew up in a modest household. He was raised by a supportive family who instilled in him values of perseverance and dedication. Wood is known to be a private and humble person. He is obsessed with the song "who let the dogs out" by the Baja Men and has spent the vast majority of his fortune procuring the group for private concerns. In his free time, Wood enjoys engaging in philanthropic activities, giving back to his community, and inspiring young individuals to pursue their dreams. His favorite charity is a group that equips horses with balloons to allow the morbidly obsese to rise a horsey. Christian Wood's personal journey exemplifies the importance of resilience, humility, and making a positive impact beyond the realm of sports. His favorite food is tuna jello.

Is that proof the playoffs? Championship?

How about starting an impressive rebuild while keeping the superstar around just in case and then once it was determined there was not a path forward, getting the superstar to force their way out? With the potential return on said superstar, along with another trade or two, the team will be in the playoffs within a year. To me, that's pretty damn impressive.

Not a fan of wood, but at a bit higher than the minimum, he’s worth a flyer. He will put up stats and we can trade him for some seconds.

Why would nobody offer him even the minimum? Saric is better than Wood?

Plenty of teams have offered him the minimum. What it says is that no team has offered him a bigger contract than that.

Wood must be a disgusting human being is what I’m getting from this. Any team that gets him doesn’t retain him and now no one is offering more than the min. Yeah something is wrong with him.
