They say he tried. They say there was nothing out there. Grant Williams would have helped Dame for sure.

I think we need one veteran at SF. If they expect to get Caleb Martin, let Matisse go. If they don't expect to be getting a veteran SF, keep Matisse.

I can guarantee the Blazers need center help -- with or without Nurkic. And right now needs a starting SF who has actually claimed the position. And more defense, overall.

Throw an MLE offer at Paul Reed. He’s worth it.

What is the verdict on bringing back Winslow? I know he won't be demanding much on the market, so would we be able to, or want to bring him back for vet presence?

I thought about him earlier today. I don't expect him healthy, but I'd definitely bring him back as a vet presence, assuming he was good in the locker room last year.

It's just summer league so it's more guard oriented (and most of these guys are trying to score so they can earn a roster spot in some other league or they're not smart enough to realize NBA teams want skills beyond scoring).

That said, I've already made it clear in a previous post that Brandon Miller is talented but will be frustrating to watch, at times, when he doesn't show up. This will lead to people questioning his 'heart' for, at least, the first few years of his career.

Given his poor performances against .500 competition in college, this isn't new. For reference, similar players coming out of college like Carmelo, KD, Tatum, Granger, Ingram, Banchero outperformed him in this facet.

Now, he did utilize his other skills, which is why I think he won't be a bust (probably just not going to be as good as other guys taken after him). When his shot isn't falling, he'll try to play defense and facilitate the ball. We saw that tonight.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if he was expected to be recovered from ankle surgery by start of season or not, by regardless he'd need some time to be ready. A good locker room presence though I would assume. Also, if he does get to being a productive rotational player he could be unloaded on an expiring/cheap contract with the likes of (Thybulle/Grant).

I think Winslow disliked GP2, and that's a good sign.

We very well might not have any roster spots left after the Dame trade.

I actually don't want Maxey back in a trade for Dame, because we have a good trio of young guards already.

I also do not want Tobias and his hige contract

But seeing reports of Philly not willing to let go of Maxey in a Dame trade, if I were Joel, I'd be yelling at the FO.

When Harden goes to LAC, the 6ers won't be able to compete in the East

    Just a thought

Maxey would be going somewhere else.

Huge expiring contract. I think that's a valuable asset, and he's known to be a great locker room guy. We could use a stable non-dramatic vet to set the vibe with Jerami. I think Kyle Lowry would be helpful in that respect as well (and he's expiring too).

Maxey would probably be going to another team because he'd leverage better assets in trade...BUT...

if it was a choice between Scoot-Sharpe-Ant or Scoot-Sharpe-Maxey, you have to go with BPA and Maxey is better
