Like what someone said earlier about value on the Dame Dollar. After his agent throwing down the gauntlet after only going to Miami I think we are going to get about 25 cents on the Dame Dollar in value the way things are going.
That's a fair opinion but like I was just trying to explain to someone who sees it my way except a little more extreme... it is just an opinion. So much of this process has been behind closed doors that we're all speculating about a lot of things. I'll just say again, this is Dame's life and we are just fans with a hobby. Dame is taking extreme action and I don't blame you for not liking those actions but I think trying to match the intensity of Dame's actions with your reaction doesn't really make a lot of sense here because again he is making moves that have extremely serious consequences in his real life and don't really do anything to any of us.
Options are getting fewer and fewer every day with player movement in the league. The longer it takes the more likely outcome will be less value returned IMHO
They don’t want jovic or Jaquez in deal ROFLMAO I will burn my Dame jersey if he handcuffs us like this and we end up with shitty 1s and Duncan Robinson.
Joe reads the board. Joe has to get this right. Joe can't fuck this up. Fuck Dame, his agent, Pat Riley, Heat fans and their whole Palm Tree City and fuck the humidity
Fuck Miami as a staff, basketball team and as a motherfuckin' crew... And if you want to be down with Miami, then fuck you too.
if the Miami offer is as good as it gets, right now, and Dame doesn't back off his Miami or bust stance (which may not be as hard-line privately as publicly), it might be that the Blazers should just eat the inevitable shit sandwich and move on. I get the fuckdamefuckmiami sentiment, but the Blazers are stuck right now on the wrong side of the Dame saga
Not really. Value very well goes up at Deadline. I think it would be bad for Joe to cave at this point. Regardless of my personal feelings
I do not believe Dame's value would go up...the opposite actually having the first season of the Scoot/Sharpe era being completely distracted by a Dame sideshow doesn't make sense to me....at all So Dame's around...he's starting and playing right? Ant's around, starting and playing. Scoot and Sharpe are sitting on the bench. Meanwhile Dame gets closer and closer to turning 34 or will it be that Dame gets benched, as many of you would want. Retribution. It's foolish to think his value would increase in a situation like that....or more to the point, that Portland's leverage would increase. Again, I see the opposite happening
I don't care one way or another if he gets benched. He can play for all i care. Every talking head has said his value would be better at the deadline. Nobody's opinion is an end in the search for the truth. Always somewhere in the middle. You've got your opinion, i've got mine. Would be terrible to cave for a undervalued trade at this point.
And I'll reiterate my question: Why? Why would Dame behave this way when there was a clear public "high road" path? They can snipe behind the scenes, but both sides were incentivized to cooperate. I am stymied as to why Dame chose to burn his hard-earned reputation.
