DJL and Volpe swap spots...DJL batting 7th and Volpe leading off. ...Hmmm...interesting, and could actually help both players.

Volpe has been red hot for almost a month now and this move back to the lead off spot is long overdue. Sadly, DJ looks like he’s finished.

I don't understand why DJL and Rizzo are both struggling so bad...they've both been very good for a long time.

Maybe Volpe will change his approach from the leadoff spot...he's a bit too aggressive at times and has a problem with laying off the outside breaking ball. And he's not walking as much as when the season first began.

Severino is hot garbage. Can't even have a first inning without a run.

DJ hasn't been the same after those injuries. Rizzo swings at too much garbage.

IKF co tiniest to be a liability in the OF. Should have caught that ball then threw to the wrong base enabling the batter to reach second. Seve continues to struggle

Geeez...the one time I'd wish Boone would have a quick hook, he just chews sunflower seeds...WTF is he waiting on?...this game is still winnable 3 batters ago.

2.2 innings, almost 80 pitches, 12 base runners, 5 runs...nice job Seve, nice job Boone.

Severino at maximum suckage, 7 earned runs over 2.2IP
Does that mean he's going to throw a perfecto, or even a no-no next outing? No way in hell will that happen.

Severino will be lucky to see a fraction of the 15 million $ that he's making this this year, as a year end Free Agent! Let him find a different team to suck for...

Yet another reason Boone should be let go is his constant desire to give up on games. When there's seven innings to go it might be a long shot to come back but you can't just let a reliver blow the game up completely.

And if he is going to do that, then let the reliever pitch until his arm falls off. No need to use the entire bullpen in a game like that. Boone is doing like he always does…using up the bullpen so that as we get later and later into the season their arms are more fatigued and they are more hittable. I’d gladly trade the Sox winning the series in ‘03 if it meant BaBoone never becoming our manger. That’s literally the only “highlight” of his career and somehow he turned that into becoming our manager when he had zero experience. Get what you deserve. Glad I stopped watching months ago. I just look at box scores now and laugh and wish that fans would start boycotting games to send a message. Judge isn’t coming back this season as they totally botched that diagnosis like usual with this team. They won’t announce anything until late August though, but by that point we will all already have known it. And with this teams track record he likely won’t have surgery until April since we are so incompetent. Need to be sellers. Package Gleyber with either Rizzo, DJ or Stanton and get a bucket of chewed gum in return. I know Stanton would have to waive his no trade but I think LA would take him. Their hitting coach would probably fix his swing too, unlike ours that’s talking about launch angle and home runs but can’t fix a guys stance and relies on a minor league player to help Volpe out. Crock of shit team man. Crock of shit.
