    I've thought that Ainge would love Herro and Robinson...if I were the heat I'd package their young guys and Jazz picks for Dame in a 3 team deal...get Miami or Utah to take on Nurk at the same time.

    Love that idea, but I can't see a way that Brooklyn values moving off Simmons at the cost of Claxton (unless you know something about their lack of enthusiasm for Claxton that I don't).

    Herro there, Lonzo here? CHI only has picks from 27 onward (aside from getting our own 24 back). And the disabled player exception doesn't travel in trade. Man, I like Caruso, too, but doesn't make sense unless Ant is going out.

    You're thinking of MIN...

    In seriousness, what's the issue with taking Lonzo with some picks? Similar to Simmons, without the drama. And only 2/42M left (when he picks up his player option). That's why I said maybe not, because CHI doesn't need to panic-dump him.

    Joe Cronin manages the team’s Salary Cap and oversees its amateur and professional scouting. An important part of the team's player evaluation, roster construction and strategic planning process, Cronin is active in the NBA Draft, trades and free agency. Entering his 16th season with Portland, Cronin joined the team as a Basketball Operations intern in 2006. In 2010 he was promoted to Pro Scout/Salary Cap Analyst and in 2014 he was named the team’s Director of Player Personnel. As a result of his continued dedication to the team, Cronin was the 2011-12 recipient of the Trail Blazers' "Unify People in a Championship Culture" award. Prior to joining the team, Cronin earned his Master's at the University of Denver, where he also worked as Graduate Assistant for the men's basketball team.

    my guess is that the Nets value Claxton more than they do Herro (just like Portland). I don't believe there's any chance the Blazers can get Claxton in this trade

    and Portland should get a swap from Miami; not convinced they'd get one from Brooklyn

    and it's my hunch if the Blazers attach Nurkic to Dame, it will cost them a 1st coming back
