Yup, at some point, need to tell Dame that Miami can't give Portland what they want so he better show up to training camp until Miami figures it out or he expands his list of teams.

Portland should not be the one that has to compromise here.

Yes but picks are of no value to Miami. They only like undrafted players.

Bingo. And Portland literally doesn't have to.

Dame, tell your agent to get to work. You have a contract and Portland is living up to their end of the contract.

I love you, but you're destroying your legacy, regardless of what Portland has done. You're only hurting yourself.

I can see Dame firing his agent for bad council.

I'm so over this Dame drama. I'd be fine at this point with the Herro deal and picks....we just need a 3rd team willing to take on the Herro contract. Lillard's value is not very high IMO and we should never expect the value Jazz received for Donovan Mitchell. Mitchell is much younger and on a better contract vs Dame. Dame is better but in the same ballpark. Getting off Dame contract + a few 1st round picks is enough for me + get Dame to his preferred team. If we can get a nice young player also that be a nice cherry on top but don't expect it.

Unfortunately...this might be the start of a very long summer of BS rumors, and more drama from Dame, his Agent, and Blazer's front office. This could have been handled so much better and a win/win for both sides. What I fear the most is we go through hell with an ugly divorce that is nationally covered all summer and we still end up getting the same deal that is on the table today.

I do think Dame will likely have a really ugly decline in the next couple years as his athleticism further fades. We all saw how bad he looked two seasons ago when the core injury limited his burst. I feel like that was a sneak preview of 35+ Dame.

Other teams are probably aware of that as well, so Goodwin threats aside I think anyone has to look at it like it's the missing piece in a 2 year window for championship contention if they're wanting to trade for Dame. And that's probably a really small number of suitors.

Only if Joe let's them screw the Blazers over. If Joe chooses not to be screwed over I don't see how Dame gets exactly what he wants (playing for Miami with Bam and Butler).

I sincerely hope Joe doesn't let Dame's agent screw the team over. Honestly, I hope Dame fires him.

I couldn't care less about the Dame drama. It's only hurting Dame. It doesn't hurt the team at all, now that we know he wants out.

This whole thing is just going to screw Dame and his legacy unless Cronin is a SUPER nice guy. Like super nice enough to get fired in order to keep Dame happy.

I don't think he'll ever get another GM job if he lets the Blazers be screwed over by Dame's agent.

More to the Blazers than a lot of you seem willing to accept. Don't know what you got, till it's gone.

I want to bump this because I'm still really not sure what the answer is.

What the heck is Dame's actual fair value?

I think he was more effective last season than Durant was this past season and he’s played five less seasons. Obviously Dame isn’t on Durant’s level when considering career accomplishments but to any person paying attention, Dane is more valuable.

problem is we have no way to know since Dame and his agent cut our throats by telling the rest of the teams he only wants to play for Miami.

my gut feel is 1-2 good young players (depending on upside) and 3 1st round draft picks. Might take 2 1st rounders if they are unprotected
