I liked what I saw from Badji. He's 20 and on a two-way. He's fine.

Reath has no NBA skills.

 

She’s a well respected analyst. So yeah, you dismissing her as some chick is embarrassing.

 

Badji's defense was pretty good, but slow on offense and hands of stone. He had several lob passes thrown at him and he finished zero of them. Of course some of those were quite terrible.

 

Jumping the gun a bit to be sure, but she didn't specify a specific time. So often, Dame gets treated like he led this team to some height that Portland will never get to again if he is gone.

137-173......over the last 4 years. That is not a small sample size. Yes, purposely tanking the last 2 years, but that is because we were not good. It's not like we had HCA and then decided to tank so we had a bad record. And yes there were some injuries.....welcome to the NBA and every team in the NBA.

Based on the results the last 4 years, (over a 1/3 of Dame's time here) it hasn't been good, so what exactly are we rebuilding from? Nothing that was even .500 is the answer regardless of anything else. No issue with anyone's fandom or attachment to Dame, but to treat what was accomplished from a team results standpoint seems to be romanticized. This isn't to place blame as Dame was not the owner, GM or coach. It just is what was.

Going forward, there is at least the possibility of hope. Perhaps not right away, but I'm not sure the same can have been said about the roster for quite some time now.

 

I remember him from the Bullets championship team that beat the Sonics.

 

Yeah offensively he was awful. But so was Reath. Neither could catch anything to save their lives.

But defensively? Bigs his size don't normally move that well. How many of us want Nic Claxton? Go watch some of Claxton's tape and you'll see why I'm way higher on Badji than Reath (or just about any center we've had in the last half decade).

 

So disappointed I was really looking forward to that summer league championship.

Murray and Roops were very unimpressive imo. I know it’s SL. Murray just seems so “meh” to me.

 

Are we the only team with 2/5 of their starting lineup playing in summer league? Who is the consensus number 1 pick in 2024?
