Home runs by volpe and higi makes it a 4-1 Yankee lead and this baby look over!

Volpe is on pace to hit 20+ HRs...not bad for a very young rookie, although I'd rather him just make contact more often. But it seems that he's fallen prey to the same affliction that Torres has, which is to swing as hard as he can at every pitch, no matter what the count or situation.
Vole could become a true leadoff hitter if he'd simply concentrate on just making contact, especially in a 2 strike count situation. And a strike out is the one out that doesn't advance runners or score runners.

Easy DP ball booted by the mental midget gleyber. Come on gleyber, catch the GD ball and make the play

Yup, but why did Boone take him out after only 74 pitches?....n/m, we already know the reason.

Boone is a fucking moron that as usual has no feel for the game. I’m sure he’ll tell us afterwards how tired German was and he was on fumes! BULLSHIT BOONE. When pitcher pitching a game like today keep your overreaching ass in the dugout pretend to look smart and keep blowing bubbles. If we end up losing this game how many of these has Boone just given away for no reason it’s disgusting and he needs to go

The inning is over if not for Gleyber. That still doesn't absolve Boone from his latest case of pitching mismanagement.

And of course the inconsistent marrinnaccio comes in and shits on the bed. Bases loaded no outs. All because sparky Boone had to show everyone how dumb he is taking out a guy in complete control of the game in the 7th pitching a 1 hitter and with a low pitch count to boot. Boone needs to be taken out back and beaten the shit out of.

Only Boone could take a completely rested bullpen with his starter in complete control with a 4-1 lead in the 7th, go thru the whole bullpen and end up with Nick Ramirez in the 9th inning in a 2 run game that is now 3 and counting. Boone is just a horrific manager

Stanton may hit a little better in the OF but defensively h e looks like a guy with the mobility of a man with a wooden leg.

I put this loss squarely on Boone...he has no business being a big league manager and should have never been given the job in the first place.

Other than having the same last name as his more famous Father, and hitting a freak HR in the ALCS, what gives him any sort of managerial pedigree?...he's a "yes" man for the players and Cashman, and that's it.

Just heard cashman about to fire the guy who makes the chicken buckets and possibly the 99 year old guy that parks cars to improve the team. Need to see some dfa’s hal and no i don’t want to see top prospects attached to get rid of doanaldson or Stanton. Reach into your fat wallet and write some checks u cheap piece of shit. You’re hosing the fans with the million threads you have to buy just to see the pathetic product you see on the field masquerading as the Yankees. And while your at it fire dumb and dumber aka cashman and boone

Sean Casey is now our latest pseudo-batting savior.

Hitting coaches are so over-rated and are always the first to be blamed for a team's hitting woes. If there was even ONE that truly turned a team around, teams would be lining up during off-season to sign them to multi-year and multi-million dollar contracts. Has anyone ever heard of that happening?

All hitting coaches can do is to offer advice to a struggling hitter/s during batting practice but ultimately it is up to the hitter to apply that advice to actual in-game situations.

And any advice offered to a hitter does no good if that hitter is still stubbornly swinging for the fences in every at bat and every situation... so why even have "hitting coaches" at all?
