http://profootballweekly.com/PFW/The+Way+W...m?mode=afcsouthWord out of Indianapolis in early April is that the Colts are focusing their free-agent cash toward deals for DEs Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis. Freeney might seem like an obvious choice; he can become a free agent at the end of the 2006 season, and the Pro Bowler is considered one of the premier players at the position. But the Colts also believe Mathis is essential, partly because he is starting to open more chances for Freeney. The Colts put the highest possible tender on Mathis ? $2.0966 million ? to keep the restricted free agent tied up long enough to, they hope, seal a long-term deal. Mathis will get a chance to start this season at the DLE spot. Raheem Brock is being tried at defensive tackle after working in that role in the Colts? nickel package. The new line, which also features DT Corey Simon, could be a potent pass-rushing group that the Colts want to keep together for four or five years.Hmmmm......... Could there be a better pass rushing line? I am alittle worried about Mathis on 1st down. He can stop the outside rush but gets thrown around alot on the inside rush.
What would be 'new' about it.Although I think its good for you guys that your gonna lock up Freeney and Mathis (Although I think Mathis is slightly overrated from playing alongside Freeney all the time).
what is new is that brock is playing almost all DT and not DE/DT this year. Also how is mathis overratted? if anything he is one of the most underratted players in the league. HE was also the only player in the league to get the highest restricted freee agent tender.

Hes a very quality player, but I just dont have him on the same level as Freeney, Abraham, Taylor, Strahan, ect.
I love Freeny and I think Mathis is good(I love using him in Madden 06 lol). He's not on the same level at freeny but hes pretty damn good.
