    What percentage? A majority? A minority? 50/50?

    I have no idea.

It appears the majority are ok with Dame despite not winning titles, etc. so if I had to assume, that'd guess its the same. Again, no way of knowing, and more improtantly, no way of proving it.

You think so? It seems like the majority of fans are pretty sour on Dame right now.

    Yes, I 100% think so.

In the non-message board world, I've probably talked 20-25 Blazer fans I know about the Dame situation and literally not one of them had turned on Dame. In fact, a good chunk of them support Dame so much they're fine basically giving him away to make him happy. I don't personally feel that way, but I also think fans that post on message boards are such a small percentage of a fan base, that I guage how fans feel based on the non-message board reaction I get.

This place does not represent the majority of fans. Most here have an unhealthy relationship with the team. Myself included.

You could even make a poll here asking "Are you sour on Dame?" Yes or No, then see if it's as one-sided as you believe it is. It still would do a great job of representing the fan base though, in my opinion.

Knowing Dame I'd assume that at some point this whole demand has to hit him in the gut given that he's basically said publicly that all the guys he's led in Portland that are still with the team are not good enough to compete with. I don't see how Ant or Nurk or Grant or anybody still here wouldn't be insulted by it...the 19 year olds definitely are insulted by it..the coaching staff has to be insulted by it. Basically throwing it away to join 2 guys with an unknown supporting cast in Miami. I think no matter how you slice it, it's a chump move..people assume Nurk will be moved but right now he's under contract for more years here. I wouldn't be surprised to see him as our starting center next season with or without Dame...he handled the CJ trade pretty well after the fact. I think if Ant or Nurk were tradeable, they'd be gone already

I should also note, I'm not at all sour on Dame because I 100% get what he's doing. He's trying to do what he believes is best for himself. It appears Cronin and Portland are trying to do what is best for them. Both are acting in their best interest. What's happening is not unprecedented.

If we make another Dame thread on here I think the servers might explode.

I don't know. Laker fans are different

or maybe it's that Blazer fans are different, more provincial and fickle, because they sure turned on past miscreants like Patterson, Rider, and Randolph. They turned against Rasheed because of the T's; and turned hard. Turned hard against the Jail-Blazers.

and I was around when Blazer nation turned hard against Walton because he signed with the Clippers and sued the Blazers; and he brought Portland a championship. LMA is on most Blazer shit lists; Clyde is on a lot.

The funny thing about the Jail Blazers is that the fans didn't turn on the team until we sucked. The arena was pretty packed until we were bad. I always thought it was funny how people got a conscience about the team as soon as they weren't going to the WCF.

Very well said and great examples of different situations.

    Fans are going to fan.

"servers", in this reference @THE HCP means the computers that run the forum software, not people that serve you food at a restaurant. #letsbeinclusive
