Sitting out games got Dame the best backcourt mate and teammate he's ever had.
Which was the best the Blazers could do.
Dame is just too stubborn or stupid or angry to acknowledge it.

Haha he wouldn’t give up Bam for Embiid! Talk about a homer. He forgets his team barely made the play-in. The regular season is a grind. Heat aren’t as good as they think they are.

Plural. Sharpe and Scoot will both be better than CJ very soon.

Oh, Sweet Jeebus. I guess someone enjoys huffing paint in his downtime.

By that logic, Miami should be happy to trade Herro for Simons. I meat, Simon's is a 20 point scorer and that has value...right?

What one thing? An offer that isn't utterly laughable?

Wouldn’t it be funny now if Herro asked to be traded to the Team X and only that team? Nothing’s stopping him from skiing it.

But 'why' did they tank? They tanked because year after year they weren't good and they weren't good again. They were just a couple games out of the play in? That is supposed to keep them from making the correct decision for the franchise and not tank? They were not good.....for several years, tank or not.

If BOS is willing to move Brown for Dame that's when you turn it into a 3-way trade with HOU, SAS, Utah, BKN and make out like bandits! Oh man, if Brown was in play, being 25 that opens a whole host of options for 3rd team partners which would be far, FAR better for us than Miami. Also, if BOS is considering making a play other teams might have to get into the mix and that's how you get those Durant type deals. I mean sure, it won't be AS good, but I'm talking in that neighborhood.

Brown is a two-way player who is 25. The problem I have is do you play Brown or Sharpe at the SF? I don't like either at SF, but LOVE either at SG. If we have overlap there, then flipping Brown to a 3rd team for young talented players and picks seems way better given Scoot and Sharpe are the same age and IMO Sharpe has a significantly higher upside, especially since I'd press Boston for Brown plus additional asset(s).

Brown is more of an SF IMO. He is a solid 220 with a 7' wing. His handles are better suited for a forward.

Well, if you can get him to re-sign or think you can maybe. I bet he's far more likely to re-sign in SAS, HOU or BKN.

Quick question can you do a sign and trade with Brown? It sounds like no form the "gotta wait a year" folks talking about his extension. If so, then I wouldn't want Brown as he would be too risky, unless he told us himself "Oh I will DEFINITELY re-sign in Portland." and then only if you're sure he's not being sarcastic.

Philadelphia isn’t going to help Miami get Dame.

That's a very nice way of saying that Brown is shitty at dribbling. But I think that was a much bigger problem on Boston than it would be with us. With all do respect to Marcus Smart and the gang, but their ball handlers pale in comparison to ours. Between HENDERSON!!!, Anferno and Horace's nephew we've got plenty of good ball handlers.

Having Dame around the new guys even up until the deadline will be really valuable for them in practice. We have nothing to lose by waiting and keeping him around.
