I mean I dunno maybe they have god tier picks, but honestly that's worse than Dame to MIA packages.

OG is so overrated on this board, I'd think everyone was hacked by Masai Ujiri. He's a slightly above average wing who is undersized for his position with a questionable injury history.

OG is better than any player Miami is giving up and is a much better fit with our team. Throw in multiple picks and I would absolutely consider it if OG would resign.

They would have to ask him.

My bad. I forgot Sharpe was the second coming of Michael Jordan.

So when you watched Sharpe last year play as a 19-year-old, you were not impressed with his potential? He may or may not turn out to be special, but can we really take a chance on another Jermaine O'Neal blunder?

    Nobody is saying that.

The truth is Sharpe could be better than Dame in two years when Dame is at the age of 35 and Sharpe is 22. He certainly SHOULD be better than Dame within 4 years.

OG doesn't make Dames time here worthwhile at the expense of Sharpe.

The ship has sailed. Bon voyage Dame.

He doesn't have to be the 2nd coming of Jordan to be vastly better than OG within 2 years, he just has to be a bit above average. By then Dame will be on the decline, in 4 years I would be astonished if Sharpe wasn't miles better than both. You need to get through the Kubler-Ross brother, you will be happier when you do.

When Dame does don another team's jersey, I think some are gonna need some kind of counseling. Just a basketball player ffs. The team goes on regardless whether he is here or not.

In my mind he's already wearing another team's jersey, which is what HE wants. Don't blame Cronin for doing what was right for Trail Blazers.
Dame could have given Scoot and his new teammates a chance. But that's not what he wants.

I’ve only purchased one jersey in my lifetime to actually wear (have a shit-ton of signed jerseys). It’s the PDX Dame jersey (which I went back-and-forth whether I should buy Dame or Sharpe, so I obviously made the wrong choice).

I don’t wear often. But it’s a chill beach day. Wearing it today. Just an hour ago someone asked me about Dame. Don’t give two shits. Told him I wear the team and my home city. That’s what the jersey ultimately reps. Players come and go. The team is the team, and Portland is Portland.

    Trade Sharpe for OG?

Blazers still can't contend, Dame still asks out in the next year. OG walks for nothing.

Or when he doesn't, a lot will still need that counseling

    You right.

All we've heard from Cronin is

We want Dame to be here

Dame asked for trade, we will try to work with him but will do what's best for Blazers

If it takes months it takes months [A lot can happen in months, minds can change, whats important can change]

Nothing is over. I think the ones that wanted to trade Dame before he asked for trade are getting antsy

The danger & message the youngsters get from the HOF vet, is the team doesn't invest to win, thus they start thinking about asking out before their rookie contract is up. And its not just the ownership, its the glamor of relocating to another city they prefer.
