I so want to see an enormous Tom Peterson appearing from the bottom and knocking on the court bellowing, "Wake up! Wake up!"

I was thinking this was an absolute abomination, and then you explained why it's happening. That would be so incredibly distracting for me, and I legit wonder what it might do the the players eyes over a long enough time period.

I get some people like every shiny new thing, like spraying children with DDT in the 1950's or Thalidomide for pregnant women. Hey it's new it must be good and anyone questioning it is a Luddite holding us back from our Brave New World!

Lack of money in the city is not the reason we have homeless. It's about 4-6X more expensive for the taxpayers to allow people to be homeless than it would be to pay their rent.

They are homeless because the voting population wants them to suffer for their sins. That's it.

This is good news. UO's court won't be the most unwatchable in the sport anymore.

Beat me to it. I was just about to post that now every team can have a court as ugly as UofO's.

So a player's gonna look down to see how many rebounds he needs to get a trip dub, and trip over his own two feet. I can see it now, vapor trails behind guys going to the hoop. Like that hockey puck thing.

The FIBA has a super clear mandate to evolve and elevate the FIBA brand.

This means inclusivity of ignored minority fan bases. In the past, the FIBA has been a brand of fratty out of touch fans.

The FIBA approach is to attract more of the overlooked fan base that identifies as LSD and peyote experts.

Also, we are considering changing our brand ID from FIBA to FUBAR.

The game would be so much better if they went back to peach baskets, leather basketballs, and no access to the games. The good old days.

If you took me liking the court as saying all change is good, then that must mean you think all innovation is bad, right?

So perfect and so Portland. For us old timers, anyway. Could do it before introductions, after a critical timeout when they want to crowd to make noise. So perfect.

Just fire one player on a vet’s minimum contract and the teams can do this at zero net cost. Maybe the fired guy can join the homeless camp.

No, I'm saying your take is wrong, this is a pox and that just because something is new and people don't like it, doesn't mean that those people who don't like it are Luddites resisting good change. They might just see something you don't, in this case horrific epilepsy triggering level flashing lights, and endless distraction and advertisements which will make the experience worse for everyone but advertisers.

I was using those examples to push back on your condescending "those who don't like it are stuck in old ways that are holding us back" as though that's a fact, and not like, just your opinion...Dude.

I'm not sure why this is appears to have upset you. I'm also unsure why you felt the need to attribute a fake quote to me to make your point. However, here we are.

It's 100% ok if you don't like the court, I'm fine with that. If you think your opinion is right and my opinion is wrong, thats ok. Nothing personal on my end.

    Take one: oh that's cool.

Take two: No, sir, I don't like it.

Take three: As long as it's static when the ball is in play, eh, who cares.
