Harden went from Houston to Brooklyn to Philadelphia and wants out of Philadelphia. None of those are small markets. Kevin Durant asked to be traded from Brooklyn. That is the largest market in the United States. Who is the person that thinks a star player will never asked to be traded away from a large market?
This kinda reminds me of the tampering issue from a few years ago. While the league can become more strict about how public the violations arethere will always be a handful of ways for players and agents to achieve their desired outcome privately.
Yes, Harden has polluted Brooklyn and Philly and now wants to pollute LA, three of the biggest markets. Notice Harden is not asking for Minny to run with KAT/Gobert/Edwards? The point is the players are trying to make the small markets and cold weather states into nurseries. There is no incentive to be a fan or owner of a nursery. If players and agents are allowed to game the game at will and have complete and utter contempt for the club if they try to extract value for a player will be disastrous. The vast majority of the league is not in NY, Philly, Boston, Chicago, Florida and Cali.
I don't remember anybody saying that players would never ask to be traded away from a large market. Only that they should be required to fulfill the terms of their contract and that the NBA should be careful about letting players force specific trades without regard to their contract.
No. Dame will come back and we revisit trades in February when teams will be more desperate. I feel like every FO isbom vacation at the moment. Cronin is playing this coreectly.
the dorks over on Blazers Edge tried to sneak in a Dame to Cleveland trade "rumor". (no details about trade other then Cavs have shown interest). Now I don't listen to Danny Marang dropping rose petals where Cronin walks programming, but I wouldn't be surprised if more Blazer reporters grab that fake news and run it up the flag pole.
Trolling Miami fans (read: telling them they, not we, are on the clock and we have zero pressure to trade) with facts is becoming a passion of mine. Their upset and rage is palpable. I feed on it and it gives me strength.
Yep. We are under zero pressure but Miami is staring at a potentially horrible start with no depth and I’m so here for it. Just wait until Miami fans turn on Riley. Looooool.
Dame for Jarrett Allen and pieces would be great for both teams. I mean Mobley would be better but they’re not giving him up.
You honestly think this will drag out 6 months? In my opinion, the contenders that could potentially offer something better than Miami would have done something now, especially when they know Cronin isn't listening to Miami.
