I say we just spike Dame's drink with so much Toradol he goes out and plays for us without even realizing it.

he's an awesome rookie, would look great in Portland, can't get traded until August. A Herro, Jovic, Jaquez, + picks is a fancy haul. Then Blazer fans can high five Cronin, and stop saying Lillard has ruined the Blazers future.

Clearly you haven’t watched those players.

Windy and company just said Sochan will have to come from the bench for San Antonio. Another good prospect we could get if we sent Dame to the Spurs.

Good - I hope this goes through. Then Dame can either accept a trade to another team of the Blazers choice or stay with the Blazers and eat crow.

I'd do the trade for Sochan and 2 unprotected picks, ideally Atlanta/Bostons/etc. Probably have to eat some salary now since Spurs used cap space.

Sochan would be a great addition with the scoring of Scoot/Sharpe/Ant. Scottie Barnes would probably be my first target - but Sochan would be at the top of that list - possibly 2nd.

Very true. But everybody isn't trading one of the best point guards andscorers in the league.

If we can't trade him for that we should just keep him.

Nope. Don't care what else Miami can get. They can't have Lillard for that garbage.

Now, if they want to include that first round pick in a 3 way sending Dame someplace else (or Dame going to them with that pick and a lot more coming our way) that's fine.

Is Scottie projecting to be the defensive player Sochan is? I think Scottie is the bigger talent but Sochan can be a greater connective piece ala Draymond.

If he sits out but realizes the only way he is traded is to let more teams bid, then his value goes up.

everyone knows how skilled Dame is, sitting won’t hurt his value much, unless it’s because of an obvious injury.

I doubt it. I’m guessing Cronin would love to see the Heat move on. It would force Dame to play ball and give multiple trade possibilities.

It's crazy to me that a guy who just made an All-NBA team, averaged 32 ppg, and dropped 71 last season has no other suitors.

Well let's just say Bam is clearly worth more than Dame. Same for Butler. MIA was never "all in" on Dame. They are Duncan Robinson in. That's it. Plenty of players have WAAAAAY more value than Dame. He's old and on a huge deal and is allergic to defense.

I dunno, that seems pretty accurate of an assessment the part about fucking over Portland and his value. I mean. **gestures broadly**.

I think 1-2 young prospects of say Clowney and Whitehead caliber and 2-4 mid-round FRPs. Which is to say, a lot more than Miami is offering.

I also like Eason, Thompson or Jabari Smith JR. any combination of two of them and one pick, or one of them and two FRPs. That I would do, as they are all good prospects.

Ive lowered how much I want for Dame and am starting to feel like anywhere but Miami even for a slight drop in value. While its tough to make an accurate valuation. I do feel like Miami fans and media tears are worth at least one, and perhaps two FRPs to me at this point.

Cronin signed Lillard to the supermax extension. Now the Blazers are using Woj to tell the world Lillard is old and gets paid too much. How could saying that stuff improve the offers for Dame?

Cronin should have traded Lillard when he knew it was time for a rebuild. Getting stuck with Lillard's mega contract... that's on Cronin. The chumpy teams with all the picks don't want a supermax. Lillard has to go to a playoff squad, and the return will never be absurdly great value like it was when Damian was on expiring deal.

Dame's actual value is between Mitchell and Durant

He's not better, but he's younger than Durant.

Right now, his value isn't much. At the trade deadline? I think it will be massive.
