A low number, but as long as it goes up in the next 5ish years to reach a full share, it's an easy yes for Oregon

If Oregon decides to keep the PAC-10-t0-16 together it could own the West Coast for many years to come.
Add some teams in the west like San Diego State and add some from outside the west.

Play a neutral-site game at SoFi Stadium every season against a big-time opponent that would also love to have SoCal exposure. Alabama? Georgia?

Time to do some thinking instead of pretending there's only one course of action.

Would USC be throwing in the towel on the Pac-12 if they dominated it ?
Look at what USC is giving up to join the B1G.
Look at what Oregon (and Washington) will be giving up.

Even if Utah leaves, Oregon, Stanford, and UW have won 9 of the 12 championships. It would be a shame to not try to rebuild.

If the goal is to win a conference championship, Oregon should stay in the Pac. If the goal is to have a legit chance at competing for a national title, they need to play in a top conference with an elite revenue deal.

If staying in the Pac12 was even remotely close to the same as being in the BigTen, USC/UCLA would have never left and Oregon/Washington wouldn't even consider leaving.

Oregon has already been in the national title game twice as a member of the Pac 10/Pac 12.

If you believe recruits will turn down Oregon to go to a B1G , big-money school like Indiana, then you have a case. I don't believe a potential player will go to Indiana or Minnesota over Oregon because those schools have a better TV deal.

It's a new world man. There's a reason why USC left and why they don't want Oregon to follow.

I still think Apple and their interest in a percentage of ESPN could be a wild card. Tomorrow I expect Oregon & Others to sign the GoR's. Long live the Pac!

I think you're grossly under-estimating how much has changed since Oregon made the NCG. The conference is far weaker, the revenue gap between the P12 and Big10/SEC is far more significant, and that lack of resources from a conference level would certainly hurt Oregon if they are trying to compete to win a national championship. The SEC/BigTen have made up 75% of the top 10 recruiting classes the last couple season.

Don't confuse superior revenue guaranteeing a programs ability to compete for national championships with teams from smaller revenuing generating conferences from being at a server disadvantage. It's kinda like people aruging that Blazers could win a championship with two really small guards vs the people saying it may be possible, but it's a far more difficicult path. Why take the more difficult path? Why use Uncle Phil to fund the revenue gap vs using Uncle Phil to create seperation?

I'm a little surprised that we haven't heard anything about UO meeting.

The UW people are meeting in like 20 minutes.
