    It's shocking how bad one can fuck it up so quickly. (Though it's been bad for a decade plus).

    Totally sucks. I feel bad for Oregon State. They will be lucky to get a game against Oregon at the beginning of the season. For Oregon. Hire the architects, and the construction crews. Time to add 30 grand to Autzen. Second deck on Autzen just around the corner.

    Why the hell are they acting like Oregon was the one who did this?

    USC and UCLA started this. And then Colorado.... and then Arizona...... like wtf....... they're so bitter that they're going to aim all of their anger at Oregon?

    Because Beaver fans know that access to playing the Ducks , and other big name teams is key to their future hopes. They didn't add to their stadium to play against the Little Sisters of the Poor (Mountain West Conf.) This kills a ton of their steam going forward. I hoped Oregon could be an island of strength to save the conference. But in the end, dollars win out over tradition.

    It's not just dollars though. Oregon wants to continue to be a top school for recruiting and to chase championships. Sticking with the PAC 8 or whatever was not going to help with that.

    Sure in the spot they usually save for PSU. At the beginning of the season. Thanksgiving gonna be saved for Ohio State, Michigan, or Penn State.

    The Big 12 Pac. Just said by Alex Brink on 620. If the Beavs can join the Big 12. That would be best case now. Joining the Mountain West is a death sentence for Football Program.

    The cost for other sports at Oregon to play in the Big Blowhard Conference will be exorbitant. Uncle Phil gonna have to bank roll them even more till next media deal since they're gonna get a lesser share to start.

    Yes and no. I mean the money Oregon/UW is getting is nothing special until the new deal in 2030. But what Nate said is accurate, staying put with a 6-Pac could have meant a step back. But again it's not like joining the Big 10 was anyone's first choice. (Except maybe USC)
