Just finished Beef which surprised me...Ally Wong was great...just started Better Call Saul season 6 and it's really good as I'd expected
The opening scene of Beef is fantastic, very well shot with the car chase, sadly the rest of the show doesn't live up to that quality. It's good and worth watching for sure but felt like it really dragged over the middle of the season and the last episode was a waste.
Just started up Pokerface on Peacock with Natasha Lyonne from American Pie and Orange is the New Black. It's interesting, she plays someone that can tell when others are lying. On the 3rd episode now and it's interesting with a fresh cast of characters each episode as she solves another murder, while also holding onto the overall story arch of the first episode.
Apparently Netflix is getting ready to roll out a documentary about Cleopatra where they claim that Cleopatra was black. https://variety.com/2023/tv/global/queen-cleopatra-black-netflix-egypt-1235590708/ Egypt is actually suing them https://www.jpost.com/omg/article-739745
The director is actually attached to one of my upcoming projects. Was everyone freaking out when Cleopatra was depicted as white?
Cleopatra was Greek. She wouldn’t have been Elizabeth Taylor but she definitely wasn’t black. But this show is being billed as a documentary. People would care a lot less if it was just a movie. Nobody cares that they race swapped our founding fathers in Hamilton or race swapped historical figures in Bridgerton because they’re not claiming that it’s factual.
Oh, you're in for a treat with "Ozark" – it's like a rollercoaster of suspense! If you're into crime dramas, "Breaking Bad" vibes are strong. And if you're on the hunt for more binge-worthy shows, "Stranger Things" brings epic '80s nostalgia, and "The Crown" is like a royal history lesson. Over on Amazon, "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" is comedy gold. You can try it all and even make money watching Netflix. Happy watching!
My wife hadn't so we've been watching it. My great grandpa was in the 502nd and made it through Operation Market Garden before being wounded. I remember watching this series with my dad back when it came out. Powerful then and still is delivers.
I'm rewatching the whole season now and noticing a ton of stuff. Once you know that ____ is really ____'s ____, you can see that ___ is really being evil. But that whole show is the most distinctive show since Twin Peaks. I can't say enough good about it - it's completely revamped my view on Ben Stiller and Adam Scott...
Have any of you been watching the new season of Fargo? Wow! Incredible from start to finish. Jon Hamm was amazing. Never seen him play a bad guy before. 9/10!
