<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>BOSTON -- Coco Crisp agreed Wednesday to a $15.5 million, three-year contract extension with the Boston Red Sox.Crisp, on the disabled list with a broken finger, already was signed for this year at $2.75 million. The extension contains a $1 million signing bonus and salaries of $3.5 million in 2007, $4.75 million in 2008 and $5.75 million in 2009. The deal contains an $8 million team option for 2010 with a $500,000 buyout and contains salary escalator provisions,Crisp, 26, was acquired by Boston in a six-player deal with Cleveland this offseason. Crisp, who bats leadoff, had his best season last year in Cleveland, when he hit .300 with 86 runs scored, 16 homers and 15 steals. This season, Crisp was hitting .333 (8-for-24) with six runs scored in five games before breaking his left index finger while trying to steal third last Saturday in Baltimore. Before the extension, Crisp's contact was set to expire at the end of the year. The team's announcement on Crisp comes two days after the Red Sox signed slugger David Ortiz to a $52 million, four-year extension that keeps him in Boston until at least 2010.</div>

I saw that, and was like "WTF? Don't you have to prove something before you get an extension anymore?"

They tore up the last year of his current contract and extended him thru 2010. Now we need to lcok Ramirez so he's concurrent with Lee, and we're concurrent w/ Pujols and Rolen

He would be wise to if he stays healthy and has a monster season, since Adrain Beltre had 5 years, 65 M, and Ramirez has done better than him.

Aram blows ass. He is never healthy, and the few times he is he plays like a dog. I have never seen someone who dogs to 1st like he does. But he can bomb. [IMG]

Aram is great. He's on my fantasy team, so he HAS to be good. He's a .300 30 100 guy. Pretty young too.

yea hes a great fantasy player..........but a shitty baseball player. DLee saves him about 20 errors a year, he is always hurt and he dogs both in baserunning and D.

He's become a much better <u>player</u> since coming to Chi-town.

like i said.......DLee saves him 20 errors a year. He can't throw. Call me old fashioned, but I will never have respect for a player who dogs it. Look at last nites game. In like the 6th or 7th, aram was on first and someone grounded into a double play. Ram made it halfway to 2nd and then walked out of the baseline. It is the runner on firsts job to bust his ass down the line and slide in hard to the pivot man to try to break the play up. It is the little thing he doesn't do that piss me off. Oh and PS. Not to mention he is batting .154 with one bomb and 2 RBIs.
