The Clips have to send out players to make room for Harden and we don't want those players.

I just don't see the Sixers giving up Maxey.

If the Sixers don't want Embiid to leave, they better give up Maxey. Although I guess if they just want to rebuild, they should keep him.

Not bad, but I may die of old age before we get those picks

True, but that's about as good as the picks get in any Dame-to-Miami deal.

Philly owes a pick in '25 to OKC, and in '27 to Brooklyn. I don't remember the exact wording on how far in the future future picks can be moved, but I believe currently it stands at 2030. So we could get a whopping 1 pick from Philly, in 2029. 5 years from now would be the pick haul from Philly. The Clippers owe a '26 pick to OKC. So we could get 2! picks from them. In '28 and '30. Doesn't seem any better than the potential in picks we can get from Miami. Neither team is flush with young players that are intriguing. I guess we squint and sell ourselves on Kobe Brown being our PF of the Future? Although he's already 23.
Maybe it's not talked about more because it' not all that intriguing?

    This is trash.
I think Portland can get more value by dealing with Miami directly.
76ers are getting a steal here... and probably Spurs.

Yeah if the 6ers had another pick I'd have that going to Portland. Maybe some swaps can go to Portland. 4 unprotected firsts plus Jaquez is a decent haul for PDX, but yeah would be nice to get even more. I'd probably ultimately do this trade if we couldn't get a better deal and the alternative was bringing Dame back to media day and training camp.

I don't think Joe should just accept whatever shit others teams are trying to force on him. However at the same time it would be best for the Blazers to move on, resolve this situation, and focus on building around Scoot/Sharpe which will be hard enough on its own without a negative Dame cloud hanging over the team.

Harden led the NBA in assists. I don't see how that's a bad situation for Portland. The kids NEED to learn how to shoot. Launch as many 3's as possible. Leave the airball counter in the bottom drawer.

Billups post game inteviews would be easy.
wins: We read the defense and showed our potential.
losses: We got good looks, couldn't get them to drop.
