So we play Golden State on Sat. 12/23 and Sacramento on Monday 12/26. That would mean that the 24th and 25th both fall on Sunday this year. Interesting!
Why do people get excited about the schedule being released? Genuinely curious. To me, the schedule is the schedule. Don't really care much about who we play and when we play them.
The Blazers are set up nicely to tank at the end of March -begging of April with a tough 7 game east coast swing. 7 game home stand surrounding the all-star game.
Good for you. I found out that I won't be able to attend the home opener. If it had been one day earlier I could have gone to the game.
I was giving people an opportunity to explain why they personally get excited. It wasn't meant to be an attack. I was merely offering my personal feelings on it.
Our only TNT game is Miami’s game in Portland. They obviously think Dame is being traded to the Heat.
Interesting... do you get excited about an updated schedule for when the garbage truck will be coming to your house to pickup your trash bin?
I care about: How many TV games? Do we play on Christmas? How difficult is the schedule at start and end of season?
I think it's interesting how they're doing the tournament games mixed with non tournament games. For some reason I thought they'd all be in a row. Edit: I can't remember the last time we had a seven game home stand....that's nuts.
I certainly wouldn't be happy to find out the garbage truck changed his schedule I wasn't notified. Unlike some, I'm always excited to be provided with facts instead of rumors!
I'm excited because I like watching them play. And since I don't have to worry about them choking in the playoffs this year, I can enjoy whatever Scoot, Sharpe and Ant do. Or don't do, depending on their luck.
In all the promo stuff, it's kinda shocking how little they're promoting Scoot. Am I overthinking this?
For me, I like to know home games. With my kids schedule, my vacations times are usually already set. This lets me know which games I will miss. The new back to back, playing the same team makes the release interesting. Also nice to know if we have a bunch of home games early or after the first of the year. I do not think you are overthinking it. IMO, it might be bad form or put the GM in an unfavorable position if the team starts marketing before Lillard eventually gets his trade.
