Last time I checked Al Gore didn't incite a riot or lie about election results for years while pilfering campaign funds and grifting voters over a hanging chad...he conceded and moved on...Hillary conceded and moved on...there's a graceful way to lose an election but that's not what this party is about...this one is about blatant accountability which is long overdue however you slice it. I'm cheering for those civil election workers who were intimidated in their homes and those Capitol Police who faced unfair odds trying to protect democracy on Jan 6th, not some political party or president.. The democrats you named, along with others and a complicit media, spent 4 years actively trying to remove a democratically elected president through outright lies and propaganda. Russiagate was fake, Mueller report found exactly nothing, Steele dossier was completely made up, the list goes on and on and on, day in and day out we had to listen to the elected officials and the media knowingly lie and push unverified fake accusations as fact. Now they are doing it again but trying to be ahead of the election curve. If you wanna pretend any of these charges are legit, then Adam Schiff should be in jail at this moment.
Also interesting, all the unsavory behavior people list off as justification when these indictments are brought up are never the actual charges against the orange person. The average liberal consumer seems to have a very difficult time actually explaining the actual charges and how they are applied in these cases, so they just don’t. They stick to the classics, inciting insurrection, etc. None of the things he’s currently being charged with. Most will even harken back to the fake Russia stories before they attempt to explain these vague indictments. It’s fun.

You should research all the activities the last handful of presidents have engaged in, including the current, and realize they are the same if not worse than the former.

You should actually have some principles if you want to preach justice. I apologize but it was in response to your blanket condescension concerning people who support holding Trump accountable. You talk about being educated on a topic and how other's are pretending to know things for partisan reasons...that's also shitty and unnecessary and irrelevant...where you get your fuel for topics of controversy is a matter of choice as is homeschooling. I homeschooled all of my children as well as sending them to public school ..best of both worlds. As a retired teacher I encourage all parents to teach their kids at home as well as to seek out tutors and educators to advance their grasp of subjects the parents aren't necessarily well versed in..I believe it takes a village to raise a child.

Trump is in court facing the guy who tried war crimes in the Hague, not Tucker Carlson or Rachel Madow. You may not place much importance on the rule of law, but if you did, there's no excuse for Trump's conduct period...you don't need an advanced degree to see that truth. You and I should be in agreement about holding Trump accountable regardless of our political leanings. When that happens this country will start to become a "United States" again.

 

What other president participated in a failed insurrection or called states telling them to cheat for votes?

 

US democracy has been downgraded 3 times since 2016 according to the Economist Intelligence Unit's Democracy Index.

First for allowing Russian medling in the 2016 election.

Second, in 2019 for the Whitehouse refusing to turn over information Congress requested.

Then the final time, due to Jan 6th, US democracy was downgraded from a full democracy to a "flawed democracy".

This didn't happen under other presidents.
