He said that he wanted his team to trade Soriano back to the Yankees for Robinson Cano. Personally, as a Yankees fan, I'd rather us keep Cano as he can field and hit for average while Soriano can't field and hits for power (which we have enough of). It just made me think.

Yea what Venom said. Cano isnt near to Soriano's power and hitting ability. The nats would get an even worse offense. Cano is perfect where he is. Dont think the Yanks need a bat either.

i agree - i think cano will be a 1op 5 average hitter over the next decade, right up there with Cabrera and the rest

wow........why is every yankee so overratted. Cano will not be a top average hitter for the next decade. he will barely be a top 2nd basemen in the AL. he is an average player at best.

No. While Soriano is a better player than Cano, Cano fits in better in the Yankees line-up. The Yankees have enough power 1-6, and they don't need Alfonso. While Damon is a true lead-off hitter, he is not your "prototype" guy, who'll bunt for hits, steal 50, etc. He can still give you 20 HR's, 80 RBI

I think he's good. But overrated also (Cano). The trade would be stupid for all the reasons that people above stated.
