http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=5196<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Posted: 2:20 p.m.Palmer: Tossing the pigskinHe?s not doing any seven-step drops or sprint-out passes yet, but Pro Bowl quarterback Carson Palmer just throwing the football again on the Paul Brown Stadium turf is a sight for sore eyes.?Nothing?s changed. His arm is still the same,? said wide receiver Chris Henry, the last man to catch a real pass from Palmer and who has caught some of his first rehab balls the last couple of weeks.Palmer hopes to get back to the normal throwing routine by the June 15-17 mandatory minicamp even though he won?t participate. He?s still holding out hope he?ll be ready for training camp and Opening Day, but he?s also not rushing it: ?I?ve got a lot of time to get ready. ... I?ve got all of August and September. We?ll see.?Since he?s now three months and three days removed from reconstructive surgery on his left knee, Palmer says he?s not doing anything out of the ordinary because patients can start to throw a month or two after such a procedure. Right now he?s walking and jogging through the throws, and he thinks by the June camp he?ll be back close to normal as far as passing. But, like everything else, he?s taking it slowly and there?s not a definite time frame. He rapped his knuckles on his wooden locker when he observed that he hasn?t had any swelling that has caused him to cut back on his rehab.Despite an opening five-game schedule featuring the last five Super Bowl champs as well as two defending division champions and the reigning world champions, Palmer isn?t changing his approach.?I don?t think I can put any more pressure on myself to be ready,? Palmer said. ?As far as I?m concerned, I don?t care who we play. I want to play the New Orleans Saints and the Pittsburgh Steelers.?Palmer is excited about playing the NFC South games of New Orleans, Atlanta and Carolina. ?Good teams I haven?t played yet,? he said. Yes, he?s looking at that Sept. 24 game in Pittsburgh like he?ll play in it.?Both of them. Then I have to wait until the end of the year to get another chance to play them,? he said of the Dec. 31 finale at PBS.SLANTS AND SCREENSJohnsonFullback Jeremi Johnson, a restricted free agent who briefly flirted with the 49ers, signed his Bengals one-year tender offer of $721,000 Thursday. The club is still going to try and negotiate a long-term deal with him, much to running back Rudi Johnson?s pleasure.?He listens what I tell him to do,? joked Rudi, who has rushed for franchise season records in each of the two seasons he?s run behind Jeremi. ?He?s athletic and can do a lot of things. When Chris (Perry) went down, he came in and played third down, so that tells you something.? Johnson and Johnson also share the same agent in Peter Schaffer.Palmer says once his muscle is at full strength, he?ll go back to the bigger knee brace he wore at USC.Middle linebacker Odell Thurman has checked in at 238 pounds, about six pounds bigger than his rookie year, but don?t look for him to get much bigger this year.?I?ll lose it when I start playing,? Thurman said. ?It?s good to be a little bigger, but I?d rather be fast than big.?It will be recalled that Chris Henry sprained his knee on the play Palmer got injured, the 66-yard rainbow he caught deep in Steelers territory. Henry came out and returned two plays later, only to collapse during his route in the end zone.?It just gave out. I couldn?t run a route,? said Henry, who didn?t have surgery and thinks he?ll be back the camps in May or June.</div>

Wouldnt suprise me, its just a knee injury and hes not known for Scrambleing, as long as his legs are strong enough to plant into the ground and throw hell be fine.

Even though he isn't a mobile QB, you gottta be able to do those drop backs pretty quick that could be rough for him

Hopefully he can play in week 1 preseason so he gets that rusts off his back so he's ready in September.

UPDATE:<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Bengals | Palmer ahead of scheduleWed, 26 Jul 2006 18:25:30 -0700Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis is admitting that Bengals' QB Carson Palmer (knee) is months ahead of schedule, and will be on the field this summer more than most anybody would have expected. It's a similar story in Cincinnati. Lewis said Palmer was doing things in mid-June that the Bengals didn't think he would be able to do until mid-August. Because of this, the Bengals plan to work him more this summer than they thought they would. Palmer changed his workout routine during the offseason, and those close to him believe the quarterback is in the finest shape of his career.</div>

He's even ranked #3 QB in the league in those Madden rankings Jon_Vilma posted...and people were saying when he got injured it was career threatening.

Hee seems freaked out. I saw him throw some balls. Everytime a lineman would get near him he would run away. And when he talked his voice kept cracking. I feel bad for him... torn ACL and MCL.

I can imagine when he got hurt it HURT but football is all about pain and suffering so I don't feel bad for him. Suck it up or stand on the sideline.
