Been hearing this for years when all the Dame is disgruntled discussions started as well as some posters questioning if it was better for the Blazers to consider trading Dame. What exactly are "Dame Haters" going to eat shit about? Dame in the last few months has proven their arguments much more than what the delusional Dame lovers have been saying.
I think it comes down to Cronin's suspicion of when a Dame trade is likely to happen. If he thinks there's a very high chance it will happen by December then I could certainly see him having Dame sit for a couple months. Hell; Cronin has had Dame sit for a couple months 100% of the seasons he's been in charge.
I thought this thread was going to be about discussing potential young/long term options at the 4 position. I'm disappointed.
Murray is listed as 6' 8". Without shoes, he measured 6' 7.75", so he's really 6' 9". They don't measure with shoes anymore so I wonder if they're going to be using w/o shoes measurements for rookie players?
A radical thought . . . Is it possible that Lillard’s type of game—lots of three-pointers and no defense—is what has been preventing Portland from getting over the hump? I know he’s an exciting, high volume scorer who comes through in the big moments, but I’ve often wondered if that doesn’t inhibit other players on the team. I’m curious to see how Portland plays with a more balanced offense.
I'm looking forward to watching the young stars flash talent and persevere as they get schooled by the league. I really hope to see Shaedon's jumper (catch and shoot & off the dribble) develop into a consistent weapon. I'm also looking forward to learning about and watching the development of the prospects in the next lotto. Done right, roster building is a process and Portland seems off to a good start. I'm focusing on the big picture of them putting together a real team over time, not 2023-4 game to game results. STOMP
