Yesssir. All the other teams won and we kept pace. If we get a win in the next 2 we set a franchise record for wins in August. 21. 21 wins in any month is just stupid lol.
Random note--not sure how often it happens, but there were 14 games yesterday, and the team with the better record won every single one of them. Seems weird to me that there wouldn't be a single upset, especially in baseball.
Most 4-Hit Games In A Month - Since 1901 Julio Rodríguez's five 4-hit games in August are the most in a month since Zeke Bonura had five in August 1938. The only player since at least 1901 with more than five such games in a month is Ty Cobb, who had six 4-hit games in May 1921. YEAR PLAYER GAMES MONTH 1921 Ty Cobb 6 May 2023 Julio Rodríguez 5 August 1938 Zeke Bonura 5 August 1931 Lefty O'Doul 5 July 1930 Carl Reynolds 5 July 1922 Ty Cobb 5 July 1922 Bob Meusel 5 July 1921 George Sisler 5 August
Yeah, I mean he's batting .590 in the last 10 games. It's absurd and I hope he can still hover around the .310-.320 mark for the rest of the season after his inevitable cool off. Just need him to be consistent when he's not meteoric lol
Why is Servais sitting Julio and Kirby. This dude is getting shelled against AAA squad. What a waste of a game.
Julio has left foot soreness and Kirby is sick after staying up all night with a bug. Didn't see why Ty left the game. This score is horseshit though.
Luke Weaver accidently threw a screwgie to check runner at 1st. France blocked the errant throw, but took one off the wrist. Ouchie poo, ice, probably not miss too much time.
JK is DHing in Tacoma tonight! Hopefully Julio's recovering. This final month is huge! I'll be at the M's v Dodgers game on the 16th. Can't wait!
We lost, but both Houston and Texas are losing late too. I'm not happy, but I can stomach losing a shitty game like this if we don't lose ground.
