and there it is. The Raptors are officially rebuilding. The rookie head coach, the constant Siakam & OG trade rumors wasn't enough.

Drake bailing from Toronto = Scottie Barnes and tanking for picks.

Now that you mention it…it’s also hilarious (in a good way) that I’m already talking about next years free agency. LOL.

I want to build so much cap space to get OG in FA next summer. “OG walking for nothing after all the trade interest he’s had over the last few years is a fireable offense” says some Raptors fan on Reddit.

I really hate injuries. This could keep him out past Christmas

I guess the question is will Murphy return before Zion's annual injury

That’s bullshit. At least a “handful” of players have a problem with a male coach. This “veteran coach” is worried about women coming for his job.

Sabrina Ionescu broke record for three pointers in a season, previously held by Diana Taurasi.

Maybe right but you have to admit there are some issues here.

I can see @KingSpeed POV on this, it really could be a shitty guy trying to keep women out of the sport. That being said I seriously doubt that regardless of his motives that this anonymous coach was talking out of his ass.

At every level of sport that any of us have been in, when women get brought up in men's locker rooms it's rarely respectful... it's not usually hostile but every team I've ever been on has had a few guys that say really shitty and embarrassing misogynistic things about women. I cannot imagine that the NBA is any different. It has been over two decades since I've competed in organized sports and I know in some ways we've come a long way. I just find the notions that this assistant coach is communicating to be very believable, unfortunate for sure but very believable.

Dillon Brooks set records scoring 39 points in Canada's win over USA. Brings up a question

    * which player would you rather have: Brooks at 21M/year or Ant at 26M/year?

at first glance, Brooks seems like the kind of wing Portland needs. And I'm convinced the Blazers don't need Ant; he's too limited and too flawed and too 6'3. Brooks is a true wing. So that would seem to create an easy choice. However, Brooks has a career TS% of .512. That's bad; it's not Evan-Turner-bad, but it still sucks. Now, he's a good defender and that's certainly something the Blazers can use. The problem is while Brooks has that really poor TS%, he also has a career usage rate of 23.2%. That's quite high. And it's extremely high for a guy who carries that poor of shooting efficiency. Meaning: he's a chucker who after 6 seasons hasn't realized he's a chucker. Poor BBIQ and no self-awareness. And of course, he comes with a ton of baggage and his former team said "enough"

so in a choice between Brooks and Ant, I'd want door number three: neither. Besides, Portland already has a player who is probably a better defender than Brooks, has much better BBIQ and awareness, doesn't consume team possessions, and is much less expensive: Thybulle
