Miller(3-2, 3.81 ERA) has the unenviable task of shutting down aRed Sox lineup that has scored 33 runs during the team'scurrent four-game winning streak. On Thursday Boston beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays intosubmission, 15-4, setting season highs for runs and hits (21) tohelp Josh Beckett earn his major-league leading 12th win. The Tigers' first round pick of last year's draft, Miller willtry and deny Boston a season-high tying fifth straight win. In his first start against an American League team, the 6-6lefthander allowed six runs - five earned - and six hits in fiveinnings against Minnesota on Saturday.
