    I sure hope this results in the reintroduction of Piggly Wiggly stores in the NW. We used to shop at a Piggly Wiggly back in the day.

    Not that I remember anything about the store or the merchandise. Just think the name is cool.

    There used to be a town ( Two Egg ?) in Florida that we used to go through on the way to the beach, and they had a grocery store called "Hoggly Woggly"....I shit you not.

    I lived in Arkansas for three years in the late 90s and our local store was a Piggly Wiggly. I got banned for bouncing a check. They had an impressive array of pickled pigs knuckles and chitlins.

    “exclusive licensing rights” to the Albertsons name in Arizona, California, Colorado and Wyoming

    Interesting. In CA currently, Vons (Safeway) and Albertsons are pretty much the same now in all but name. With this naming transfer I wonder if the local Albertsons will change their name to Vons or Ralphs (Kroger's local brand) or will actually be run by PW's parent and feature different merchandise.
