You're right, it IS a free country. But it is nice to know that someone has a crystal ball and can foretell what the future brings. Don't know why you're going on about this.
Same reason you are going on about this. You brought it up for discussion, we are discussing it. I don't think it takes a crystal ball to "know" term limits are going nowhere. Edit: I do think term limits on the Supreme Court are remotely possible, if the current tide of corruption discoveries gets bigger and bigger and the Supremes also do something to piss off congresspeople of both parties. barfo
I didn't "go on" about shit. I made a simple comment #4126 and even stipulated by saying that "My opinion will probably change, but...". And you've been on my nuts ever since.
I'm just having fun talking about something I saw in the thread which interested me. If my tone seemed hostile, I apologize. I assure you my intent was the opposite of hostile. barfo
Joe Biden is doing something no other president before him has accomplished by taking on Big Pharma...he's capping insulin at 35 bucks a month and capping 10 other lifesaver drugs such as my heart medicine which over the counter is 300 bucks for 60 pills, a one month supply. The VA has saved me a fortune on heart medicine costs and now I have zero copay...I used to pay 50 some bucks a month copay for them. This is actually a milestone legislation that nobody talks about because Hunter had an illegal gun when he was a junkie.
That is awesome. I'm really glad you'll be getting some relief! Unfortunately, once you have already accepted that over 100 million Americans have inadequate access to healthcare... this is just so underwhelming when compared to nearly every other first world country. It's the minimum I would expect from a sitting Dem President at this point in time. The absolute bare minimum.
Had no idea that you had a heart attack...To piggy back on your experience, and to give some perspective on how f'd up the pharmaceutical industry is, my Brother in law requires a medication that he's been paying $175 twice a month for after using his medicare prescription card which doesn't give much of a discount on that particular drug...last month while he and in Son were in the walmart pharmacy to pick up his prescription and when the lady told him "That will be $175", his Son asked the lady if she could try it on his "Good-Rx" card/app which anyone can get, so she took his card and guess how much for that same prescription through Good-Rx?....$55 , yup, I shit you not. Talk about a rip-off and/or a screwed up system...sheesh ! Anywho, I'm a year older than you, but you take care of yourself...this place would not be the same without you.
Thanks yank...I just had a checkup and I'm better than I have been for the last 7 years...afib has calmed way down but I pace myself these days.
Gun license applications ask applicant about drug use. Fudging that answer is hardly unusual. And almost never charged, except when gun was used in violent crime or for gang leaders. Yet this is what Hunter Biden is charged with. And second amendment loving Republicans who oppose any gun restrictions even for people with felony convictions are all outraged.... Not.
He was there 8 days after the 12th and in Alaska on the 11th according to the article. That's not a huge gaff given it was 22 years ago and all the things these guys do and places they go over the last 22 years or so since the actual event. Doesn't surprise me at all that Joe stretched his visit date by about a week
I remember where I was the day of the attack. I don't remember a damned thing about the following day.
I've said all along he's old and probably exhausted half the time. That doesn't translate as dementia or Reaganesque alzheimers anytime soon. These guys are talking heads for a living. Joe's been doing this shit over half a century. Thing is he didn't want to be president but felt he had to be to counter Trump's power grab. He was right. I don't worry about Joe on the job, I worried everyday about Trump on the job. I'm too damned old to be president and Joe is 14 years older than I am. Nobody argues these guys are too old. Don't confuse that with losing their cognitive skills. Memories, sure...I've probably lost some of those.
That's awesome for you.I've always had a solid memory, my wife not so much....I remember as well but the next day I can't quite recall. Also neither of us has had the middle of the night calls and non stop global travel he's had for his entire life...it's not the years but sometimes the miles and I've traveled alot but it pales in comparison to Joe's half century calendar I'm sure. On 9/11 I was at Frye's electronics in Wilsonville buying a computer part...the next day I could have been anywhere as I was traveling and meeting realators all over the state looking at land to buy. I think I was in Eugene on the 12th but I couldn't confirm it today. Could've been in Florence that day as well.
I remember where I was but if you asked me what day of the week, I don't remember. And I am not senile. Also, I worked a job with a regular time and place schedule which makes it easier. If I traveled a lot it might be harder to remember.
