Yeah I'm ok with even losing the trade - just don't want to get fleeced.

To sell Nurk as anything more than a cheaper postional fit is funny.

I think Nurk is better defensively, Ayton offensively.

Those Phoenix picks are super valuable, as well as Dallas. I don't know Brooklyn would give that all up. If so I like that better than anything Miami can offer.

    If Nurkic has them immediately willing to trade Ayton then you can't say the Suns certainly;

"haven't been willing to move Ayton all summer"

If so the difference is extremely negligible. Really its just owners trying to save luxury tax. Impressive they already have local media spinning the story differently.

hes the insider for the phoenix suns, their fans always listen to what he has to say

it seems like theres too much smoke about nurk-ayton deal (obviously, it would be multiple team deal)

neither Center fits long term with Phoenix. The Suns have to go heavy into minimum salary players with a splash of mid level guys by next year. Otherwise their 2nd apron tax will bankrupt the franchise.

Matt Ishbia is worth 7 billion - its going to take awhile to go bankrupt even if they have a $100+ million luxury tax.

Appears he's the 7th weathiest owner

    1. Balmer 100 billion
    2 Gilbert 22
    3 Jody 20
    4 Pera 14
    5 Kroenke 9
    6 Tsai 8.4
    7 Ishbia 6.7
    8 Arison 6.2

you can really find similarities between nurk & ayton

ayton is like nurk was/is, wants touches on offense, dont want to be a role player and he would stay that with kd, book & beal and therefore youd keep unhappy player who likely wont give you his best effort and his contract is big (we know that the phx didnt want to give him that money, but they had no choice really), and nurk fits them better in those terms and i think hed be willing to be a role player with kd, book & beal, as phx would give him a chance of competing for the chip

ayton has untapped potential for sure, 20/10 player easily, can be a good defensive player, still 25 yo, but questionable motor and behavior and what are the odds that a player who was a 1st pick and didnt reach the hights that he was supposed to, can change that after five years in the league

Probably also adding another good rotational player like Caleb Martin which would be a very big deal for this roster.

I wonder how much Phoenix values Nurk's screen-setting.

Not sure about Ayton's quality in this regard, but I would also love Nurk as a screener with KD, Booker, and Beal as ballhandlers.

Beat me to the punch, ha! Yeah, I'm licking my chops if I am KD, Beal, and Booker. With the floor-spacing of those guys and Nurk setting the screens, I'm going to have a lot of opportunity to gain a head of steam downhill against a helpless big man.

Good point, yeah he could really help them out there.

With Scoot/Sharpe/Ant as well as all those guys being in their early 20's its just not as critical for the Blazers.
