Yeah those screen handoffs at the top of the key will be really nice for all three of KD, Booker and Beal.

we know nurk lost a step, but if he can get that back (which im not sure he can), keep in mind that frank vogel is defensive specialist, so hed likely to a better job than terry stotts or chauncey billups did

that being said, im not sure if phx has defensive minded players, they seem like all-offense team with kd, book & beal, try to outscore everyone

if you disregard the contract, you trade nurk for ayton without any doubt (if it was pre leg-break nurk, then its a different story, but sadly, its not)

    Maybe before his fractures.

But Nurk excels at dropping. Vogel loved to use that scheme so they might value him higher than other teams.

She bought a G-League team! See, Jody's committed to spending money in Portland. But you have to wonder if attaching a G-League team to Blazers is to increase franchise value in a future team sale? Spend money now, get more back later.

Gambo carries water for the Suns FO. Everything he puts out is something that the Suns FO wants out there. So my read on this is: this is the line the Suns FO is parroting to the media about justifying this trade (if it happens).

I think the underlying reason is pretty obvious though - they save a ton of money. And they probably don't think Nurk is much of a downgrade especially with Ayton's attitude.

If Ishbia don't care about luxury tax, then Phoenix ain't trading Ayton just to save a few bucks.

thats cause hes not downgrade (or at least big downgrade), as they use ayton as a role player, which makes him unhappy and therefore doesnt give his best effort and on top of that hes being paid a lot of money

they can have that in nurk for much less money and maybe ayton becomes all-star (caliber player) in portland, but he wont in phoenix for sure

people shouldnt compare them as a players (makes no sense and yes, ayton is better and with more potential), but rather their roles on the phoenix

I'll just say this about trading Lillard.
    Woj sucks!
Instead of telling everyone how amazing Lillard is, that chump goes on air every channel, talking about Lillard is too old and his contract is overblown.

I don't know who paid Woj off. Now Everyone thinks Lillard is too old and too expensive. Maybe Miami and Portland are both cutting checks to Woj ?

I take this to mean the Blazers are finally motivated to make a deal?

if we could get Ayton to go with this young core and a couple good lottery picks or unprotected picks for Nurk and Dame id do it. Ayton would get his way of sorts, being the older vet next to Grant.
If that doesn't prove to work well, trade Grant and Ayton at the deadline and complete the youth rebuild and get assets that will help Scoot and Shae.

Despite what you may think of them, if Joe comes out of this with Ayton, Herro and a pick or two, that’s a decent haul for 33 year old Dame

... or you try and outdo your predecessor and get Chauncey to start Scoot, Ant, Shae and Herro with Ayton. Make the vet Grant come off of the bench.

Even if it's just Lillard its not that great, but if its Lillard plus Nurk plus filler for Ayton and a pick or two, that is pretty much trash. I pray to god we trade Lillard anywhere other than Miami.
