I’m really only interested in Barnes from Toronto. If OG could fetch more picks or better young prospects, sure.

I wouldn’t want to come out of the trade with Ayton AND OG, which likely means 2 or even 1 unprotected 1st. I’d like 3 unprotected 1sts, and I’d like to be bad enough to draft Sarr or any of the other talented bigs in next draft.

toronto raptors might have really possibility of getting dame lillard

the prize is obviously scottie barnes (frontcourt) to join our backcourt of the future (scoot & sharpe), that would be amazing, quick rebuild

masai ujiri pulled the trigger on the kawhi leonard trade (even though he knew kawhi wouldnt want to re-sign or at least that there would be very high chance that he would want to join a team in los angeles), why not do it again

thats their best opportunity of going after another chip, otherwise they wont be contenders anytime soon

Agree but I believe the rumors mentioning OG. I think with Dame's contract, Ujiri has to decide between paying OG or Siakam next summer. Siakam is better and Barnes is cheaper and better than OG. So IMO OG is the odd man out.

Nice, we can add a better young Draymond of our backcourt of young DRose and young Jordan.

Yeah, OG makes me a bit nervous. Nothing wrong with his age, talent, or fit with the youngins, but getting him re-signed (and not drastically overpaid) is certainly a big risk.

If the Blazers went the OG route (and kept him for themselves), I almost think you then need to start testing the market on Grant. First of all, I question whether they are the best fit together, and secondly, I'm not sure you want two overpriced wing players locked into long-term deals.

Flipping OG for further assets or simply getting Barnes instead is FAR preferable if we are dealing with the Raptors.

Only guy I want from Toronto. Unless OG can land us someone close to Barnes, okay. But if not, it’s Barnes or suck it.

OG is worth much more than Ayton. But he would likely cost much more in a trade.

I've been kind of anti OG, but coming around to the idea of it. What else is needed to make this trade fair?

It's been very widely reported such as Zach Lowe, as well as confirmed by our poster here MM that Scottie Barnes is off the table.

I think they should send us a pick or two. I like OG but Dame is soooooooo much better than OG and if they're not giving us Barnes, I want a couple picks.

I might try to flip OG to another team just because of his status as a UFA but that could happen during the trade or anytime between then and the deadline if an extension can't be agreed upon. Gradey really makes me like this trade a lot. (I'm taking a day off from the Dick jokes)

Could you look for a way to trade OG to another team for more assets? Definitely would need 2 unprotected 1sts from Toronto as well.

Probably my dream trade if we are trying to semi win now as has been rumored. Doubt Dame is worth OG/Boucher/Dick along with two unprotected picks. I would settle for one and wish for a bit more if we don't get any.

Yeah if we trade for OG I think we can start the season with it then consider trading one of OG/Grant before the deadline.

    Have legit concerns if we trade for OG now it'll look like the smart move a year from now. But I would be more excited for the lineup to start the season than just about anything else rumored;

    Scoot - Ant
    Sharpe
    OG - Thybulle
    Grant
    Ayton

@speeds What do you think most Toronto fans would think of acquiring Dame for OG/Boucher/Dick/2 picks?

Problem is we shouldn’t be trying to semi-win. We should be letting the young guys develop, and hopefully nabbing valuable pieces in the draft along the way. That was a problem in the Dame era, he was literally so good he took lottery-looking teams to the playoffs.

Guys like OG come along all the time. Trying to make the playoffs this year when we are in a situation to lose our pick in a draft class with plenty of big men for…the opportunity to pay OG $40m a year…I don’t know…
