I'd much rather play the Cougs in September than in November so I think we'll be okay. We need to be sharper in our execution than we were Saturday though.
I guess it's not the PAC-2...seems like a WAC game from the 90's when nether team plays defense. Beavers' defense has given up 352 yards to WSU...yikes!!
They tried to Coug it! Damn, some of those wide outs have hands. Good game! May you demolish the rest of the conference, WSU.
Not going to lie, that was the best game I've seen Cam Ward play in his 17 games at Wazzu. Normally he has at least one head scratching drive per half but he put it on OSU all night long. Even then we did our best to keep you guys hanging around and I'm glad to not have to see Martinez/Fenwick again this season. DJ needs to be sent to the bench, having watched him at Clemson and now with you guys, go with the freshman! Best of luck the rest of the way Beavs!
Beavs are betting faves this week hosting the top-10 Utes. Surprising. https://sportsbookwire.usatoday.com/2023/09/25/first-look-utah-at-oregon-state-odds-and-lines/ Of course, I was also flummoxed by the Ducks being 3-score favorites this past weekend, and we all saw how that turned out.
I think a big part of that is how Vegas gauges starting a freshman QB on the road vs at home. Utah has played 3 at home, and 1 on the road. And the road game was against a bad Baylor team that is 1-3; and Utah's QB didn't have to do much in that game; only passed for 82 yards the Beavers are a good team, playing at home, after a bad day in Pullman. They will be intense. And it's a short week that will be even shorter for Utah since they have to travel 800 miles for a Friday night game. Everybody saw what Utah's defense did to UCLA's freshman QB. Beavers will try to do the same of course, the Beavs have a pretty inconsistent QB themselves in Uiagalelei. And that Utah defense is legit. I'm wondering how the Beaver fans here view Uiagalelei...?
