Which is why Portland has to jump at the chance to get Ayton and OG. Sure, both could be gambles, but both could be incredible. Gradey could be a great add as well.
No, most elsewhere is the same as Portland. Bruce Brown left a championship Denver team to get overpaid by Indiana.
I really doubt that we leaked that. This could be Miami trying to set the market so they don't get outbid by more than they could counter. The idea being that Masai or whoever sees this doesn't need to go way way higher... I don't think it will work if there really are multiple other teams but if it's just a two team race between Toronto and Miami then it could have a negative impact on the return we get from either team.
I know it works that way for us fans, but I'm very skeptical that Masai is altering whatever he is offering because of a tweet or story from Marc Spears.
There are really only like 4 or5 destination franchises... Lakers NY Brooklyn Boston Golden State Miami? Who else?
'oh—we would of course also include jovic and jaquez, we just meant that two picks and herro were INCLUDED.'
Yeah definitely important to clarify. That nugget comes from Eric, who has also noted numerous times that Lillard wasnt eligible for one. So he's not sure if Lillard asked for one not knowing he couldnt relieve one and got that answer from Cronin or exactly how that originated.
If Herro plus two picks is Miami's offer and Toronto's is only slighly better than that, Portland don't need to make a trade.
It just comes across a little disingenuous that you pass along that nugget without the HUGE qualifier that Cronin did nothing wrong in not granting him a NTC since he wasn't actually eligible for one. You sharing inside knowledge that Dame wanted one and Cronin said "he didn't need one" comes cross very one sided without pointing out that fact in your initial post.
We have receipts if you want. Eric stated that qualifier every time he stated it. Forgot that caveat in my statement. The one thing we do well is know the CBA
