It's a genius move whether it's just luck or not. I haven't ever seen someone propose a trade that will make your return assets worth more because of the initial trade.

by my math, the Blazers fell about 700K short of getting a TPE equal to Nurk's contract: 16.87M but maybe, somehow, in a multi-team deal they can still get it. If nothing else they should get a 9M TPE. And they still might expand or add another TPE with a Holiday trade
