I was thinking exactly the same thing.

As long as he doesn't have any input on personnel decisions

Unfortunately, I think he will view that as his role. He views himself as Michael Jordan (an owner who should never weigh in on personnel decisions). He should view himself as Magic Johnson (sit down, watch the game, and collect your check)

Dame destroyed his trade value this summer. It was a calculated move to get him to the team he wanted to go to. If the Blazers got equal value, we'd have gotten either Bam or Jimmy, which the Heat could certainly not afford to give up.

Dame destroying his trade value means he's either an asshole or woefully naive. I'm choosing to believe the latter, but that may be me being naive.

Regardless, Dame is Portland Family, and I'll root for him to win a championship. He's already made multiple comments to repair the damage he's done, and I personally appreciate that.

Not a chance. I expect to cheer him on as he chases a chip

I will record every single Bucks game this season and root for him to dominate.

Respectfully clap, and leave it at that.
Time to look forward, not back.

The guy just said that this broke his heart. I don't know why people are equating it with Clyde who was clearly over being here and got traded to his hometown.

    And I believe him, too.

He trusted the wrong agent. His agent was probably the one who helped talk him into wanting out with an eye on getting him into a bigger market.

I don't think he should be boo and maybe clap for him for his play and what did outside the organization. It's business and he just didn't fit the direction of the organization now.
