    The Los Angeles Clippers nearly traded for Malcolm Brogdon earlier this summer -- and it appears their pursuit of the veteran Boston Celtics guard isn't over.

    The Clippers "have continued to engage the Celtics in trade talks" for Brogdon "throughout the offseason," The Athletic's Jared Weiss reported Friday, citing league sources.

    The Celtics, Clippers and Washington Wizards came close to pulling off a three-team trade in late June that would have sent Kristaps Porzingis to Boston and Brogdon to Los Angeles, but the trade fell apart at the last minute, reportedly because the Clippers didn't have time to complete a physical exam on Brogdon, who dealt with a forearm injury in the 2023 playoffs.

    I mean if we can turn him into an equivalent under-25 player that’s fine but sometimes you just need to find a team with the right situation for you and it takes a couple of tries.

    Shaedon might get benched for entire games if Coach has Thybulle & Brogdan at the ready.

    you're wrong, Sharpe played 8 minutes.

    Not enough, extended garbage time doesn't count either. Brogdon almost has to get traded, otherwise Shaedon will get demoted to the Keon Johnson rotation spot.

    Brogdon reportedly failed his physical so the Clipps deal fell apart in June. I assume we waive that in this deal.

    yaaa.. R-Williams has missed a ton of games. Very talented big man, solid defender, rebounder, lob threat. He unfortunately can't kick the injury bug.

    Not sure why Fanspo thinks the Celts don't have their 2028 pick, so it won't approve the trade, but I wonder if we could pull this.

    "It was reported that Brogdon may need offseason surgery to repair a partial tendon tear in his right elbow/forearm, but he was ultimately able to clear the issue on his own and should be full go for training camp."

    At 230 lbs and a 6'11 wing span, I wonder if he could be our starting SF. He is a physical defender.
