Simons has 6th Man of the year potential.
Scoot and Shaedon both haveAll NBA potential.

Potential schmotential. Besides, it's up to Chauncey and I believe he is committed to a firm pecking order based on seniority.

I will bet you anything you like that Ant is not coming off the bench, however much we might want it. Deja vu to the CJ days...

I agreed with you for once and then you switched up on me!! Haha

He should be playing enough to play with both lineups. I like the idea of starting him, giving him a defensive challenge, then subbing him out earlier than other starters and putting him back in with the bench.

You don’t draft a transcendent player at 3, hand him the keys from Dame, and not consider him Big 3.

    No way.

I see us as this year's Utah. We'll do surprisingly well with the combination of former players and newly acquired players, right up till the point when our GM nips that in the bud by trading the older players who are most responsible for the success. (Grant, and possibly Brogdon if we don't trade him immediately).

    (a) You can be The Future of the Franchise and not start (see Deron Williams's rookie season).
    (b) Manu Ginobili was still part of the Spurs' Big 3 when he was coming off the bench.
    (c) There is a pecking order in the NBA, as exemplified by all the rookie hazing activities.

That said, I'm sure Joe is working on clearing the way for Scoot to start, for tanking purposes if nothing else.

The guard rotation should be a good one. As long as Sharpe is getting 30 minutes a game I'll be happy. Scoot will make sure he gets the ball.

I sincerely hope we aren’t. The Jazz are now a full year under their rebuild. Do they have a franchise player of the future, or is it believed that Markannen is the guy and will be the guy? They were bad enough to get a player like Hendricks, but I don’t see Hendricks as a franchise altering talent. It would’ve been so much better for them to be toward the top of the draft and get someone like Brandon, Amen, Scoot. Now, I’m not really sure where they go from here. They’re obviously not good enough to compete, but another year gone means another year towards a max extension for Markkanen.

We’re lucky to have drafted two franchise altering players before our star was traded. Most teams aren’t as fortuate.

I'm really hyped about Scoot but he's hardly a "transcendent" player until he's earned that in my view. Look at the marketing the Blazers are putting out there and you'll see who's being showcased. I think he's going to spend most of this season as a 6 man.

I actually think Grant fits with the team if they get out and run. In the open court he's tough to handle.
Sure, he's an asset and if you can improve your position/plan trade his ass.
The guy I would trade now is Simons, he can get back 2 future 2030 1st rounders Im sure. lol

Remember, we are the junior training ground.

Me too he's a lot like Hart in that he has a nose for the ball and at 65" plays much better defense.

Could be a hell of alot worse. I like that core. And with assets in the cupboard to work with in the future, as we determine the weak portion of the big three, to fill those holes with the right surrounding cast.

I think a lot of people are underestimating the effect of Scoot Henderson. The Blazers could go the way of the Thunder.
In Westbrook's 2nd season, the Thunder won 50 games. Two seasons after that, they were in the Finals.

We need one more good year of tanking to solidify our big 3. Ayton is nice but I want a top 5 pick this year so we can grab Holland or Sarr.
