Completely understand that. I just found it interesting in how it was presented. He probably had that answer prepped in advance.
I've seen Ayton, Grant, Jerami, Ant and Thybulle so far. You didn't miss much. Ayton is worth rewatching because he's new and seemed real happy to be here.
Speaking of Ayton's happiness to be here, Matisse always gives me the "I can take it or leave it being here" kind of vibes. Maybe it's just his personality? But he doesn't seem like he's really excited to be on this team.
I'm sure he's excited by his new contract, but that has mostly worn off by now he's a 26 year old veteran used to paying on a team who wins 50 games and makes the playoffs. And he knows he's now on a lottery team and likely won't be the playoffs for the duration of his contract...which he signed with another team by the way
The media is trying real hard to get specific, detailed answers out of Shae but they're not going to get it. He'll never be a press-conference MVP.
Q: How are the vibes around this team? Are they different than last year? S: "Cool. The vibes are cool."
Yeah someone will have to. Unfortunately, it will probably be Shae. But I think it will also be situational. Against some teams, Shae and Thybulle will be fine. Against other teams, we will need to go bigger. Whether it is Grant (who alluded that they have approached him about it) or Knox, Murray, or Camara. Although I wonder if any of them have the skill and strength that Brogdon has. Other than our centers, Malcolm weighs in as the biggest player on the team. Camara is next at 220
Shae always is or seems like he is high AF. This freakin guy. All-NBA Press Conference Team 1 material for sure.
As long as he's NBA MVP, I'm cool with that. Tim Duncan was also very reserved in answering interview questions
