Don't know how long Brogdon will be on the team, but he's a career 39% 3-point shooter, and shot 44% on threes last season in Boston. He has a career 2.7 assist/turnover ratio and has had one season of 40/50/87 (last season) and one season of 40/50/93 shooting.
No one is questioning his excellence, it's a matter of him not being in our timeline and would be more valuable in a contender. We should get real value for him. But the Clipper's reported offer was morris, filler, and 2nd rounder. We can do better. Joe is waiting because there will be more/better options later
I actually lost interest in this team last year even though I still follow the product wasn't very exciting. But the changes they made this off season made me intrigued with this team. I think finally let's see what billups can get this team play together on both ends. I think we can put a starting 5 that actually could be able to compete majority of the teams in the NBA there few will just out class us but that's alright. I follow the spurs last year play hard and play the right way and never gave up in games. I believe it this team does that I everyone will be surprised.
For the love of God though, please do not play Williams when we are mathematically out of play-in contention.
I'm confused yet again. Are the Blazers winning? Or gunning for the lottery? These sneaky stealth tanks really blend in. I'm not going to get overhyped about a handful of early season wins. I did that last year, then began complaining about all the really bad beatdowns, only to get scolded by Strennus for being a whiny baby.
Overly hyped about some wins this season? This team is not going to be competing for the 2024 championship regardless of the outcome of the games early on. Lessons need to be learned, development needs to happen. I'm looking forward to flashes of promise, the process not the short term results. But as opposed to the last near decade, there is hope of them eventually becoming an elite team. If towards the end of the year they don't have their foot on the gas trying to make the play in, I'll understand and continue to not be hung up on the outcome of individual games. Adding more superior young talent to the mix would be a good thing... they are far from a finished product and are likely years away STOMP
I can get behind this team if they stay away from hero ball. Portland just finished ten years of a no defending, walk the ball up, ball dominate PG doing as he pleases. I understand that was the offense. Was not fun to watch per se. Now, his understudy is a no defending, walk the ball up, ball dominating PG that might be playing out of position as an undersized SG. Do they ever learn? I fear we are looking at rinse and repeat with the transfer from Dame to Simons. This team has the ability and horses to run. Ayton can run the court too. If they just roll out the same old same old, I won't watch a lot. We all know Scoot and Sharpe aren't going anywhere. Hard decisions have to be made regarding Brogdon and Simons. Otherwise the season will be a train wreck and everyone on this board will be at each others throats.
WOW, my thoughts exactly about hero ball, absolutely hated it! Chauncy stressed "team ball" and running yesterday and I am looking forward to that!
Why should I get behind this team when there will be so many behind them.... in the STANDINGS #goblazers
