    The republicans in the house has ousted Kevin McCarthy as speaker after a vote led by Matt Gaetz. It's the first time in over a century, a speaker has been ousted. McCarthy was removed because he backed a deal by the Dems to avert a government shutdown.

    McCarthy denounced January 6 insurrection, then a few days later reversed himself and pledged loyalty to Trump. He met with Biden and had a handshake agreement to fund the government and aid to Ukraine, then reneged. When Gaetz said he would move to oust McCarthy, Democrats floated the idea of backing him in exchange for working together. He went on CBS Sunday and denounced Democrats, blaming them for near shutdown. He agreed to rule allowing any member to initiate a vote to oust him, then blamed Nancy Pelosi, who is in California for Dianne Feinstein's funeral.

    No one trusts this guy.
