“Former NBA forward and local orthodontist Terry Dischinger, who played one season with the Portland Trail Blazers, has died at the age of 82. Dischinger was a three-time All-Star during his nine-year playing career. He played his final season in 1972-73 with the Trail Blazers before going on to practice orthodontics for more than 30 years in Lake Oswego.”
Sounds like almost two lives! The only person in history to be an NBA All-Star AND an orthodontist? I bet he was! Rest in peace good sir!
