<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The three-way trade rumor has come out of New York. It goes like this:The Saints and Jets would swap positions, allowing New Orleans to select Williams at No. 4. The Jets would then trade the No. 2 pick to the Raiders in exchange for the seventh selection, wide receiver Jerry Porter and additional picks, likely future choices. That move would allow the Raiders to pick either Leinart or Young.Meanwhile, the Jets would draft offensive lineman D'Brickashaw Ferguson at No. 7, if the Packers haven't grabbed him at No. 5, then trade Ferguson's rights to the Saints.</div>http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...SPGCRIFFNG1.DTL

So let me get this straight. The Jets trade up to number 2, and then back to number 7, then draft D'Brickashaw and then trade his rights to the Saints?

So, the Jets are giving up the 4th overall pick for Joey Porter and other non-1st round picks?Right, I'd like to think that Bradway has moved on from making the trade decisions...

It sounds like to me thatSaints get-DE Mario Williams-OT D'Brickashaw FergusonLose-#2 overall pick-Boatload of picksRaiders Get-QB Vince Young/Matt LeinartLose-#7 overall pick-Boatload of picksJets Get-WR Jerry Porter-Boatload of picks (I would assume that would include probably a future #1 next year and both their #2's this year.....not sure.)Lose-#4 overall pick

And how exactly would such a complex rumor get out to the public? If this had any truth to it, we wouldnt be hearing it right now.

People leak stuff on purpose in the NFL Draft time. Makes other GMs think and what not even if they are or aren't true. If this trade ever happens Saints would actually be a play-off contender this year! :oThink about it: D'brick blocking for Deuce and Brees throwing to Stallworth and Horn...Mario and Will Smith could be one of the best young DE duo's in the League with amazing pass-rush skills...linebackers and secondary still need help though.

I think if this went down, the Packers would take D'Brick at no.5, just look at their O-Line now...

I think they target is...Saints get-OLB AJ Hawk (at #7, Hawk is more likely to be available)-OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson (at #4, if this trade goes through 2-3 will both be QBs)Lose-#2 overall pick-Boatload of picks (next year's 1st/2nd shouldnt be bad unless injuries/bad weather happens)Raiders Get-QB Vince Young/Matt Leinart (at #2, building for future)Lose-#7 overall pick-Boatload of pick (future picks might be GOOD-ish if things happen like last year)Jets Get-WR Jerry Porter (complements Coles)-Boatload of picks (get a CB/RB late in the 1st; future picks could be valuable; get Brady Quinn next year)Lose-#4 overall pickI think this would help all teams in the long run.
