For the record… with all the things people do and say publicly in and around sports… that Jonathan Smith came out and felt the need to apologize, shows what a top-notch dude is in my book. It’s sports. It’s a team game. You have to communicate. That’s a pretty clear image and, while I’m a man (and white, so I get no say so), I don’t think it crossed any lines. The three women in my household were also not offended in any manner.
Not much evidence to that currently, but sure, he could. I bet if you asked him right now he'd say he's just worried about the next two weeks. As it should be.
agreed. man, I wasn’t talking ish. I grew up watching Smith. The hey day of my CFB days were with Smith as OSU’s QB. I love JS. Love him. Can’t say it enough. I literally fear the day he leaves. If this were the old school era where coaches stayed, loyalty existed, it wasn’t all about every single season and money, etc., he’d be that guy that was here as coach for 20+ years and we’d all be grateful. Every year that he remains at OSU, count your blessings.
That was a fun time in the Valley on Saturday! That game in Pullman continues to haunt me - we'd murder them in a rematch. Ah well, heal up and go take care of business in Tucson!
My gut feeling is Smith is cut from a different cloth....orange and black cloth. I think he stays. I hope, you know, uh...I'm right.
