My theory: it's all a ploy by members of the party who don't want Congress to authorize more foreign aid. If we don't have a speaker then they don't have to vote against it.
Interesting theory. I think it's more that the members that aren't voting for ol' Gym shorts Jordan want to have a chance at getting elected again. That's the case with Chavez-DeRemer at least, I imagine.
A few more vote against him each time. His number is getting smaller rather then bigger. Wonder how many times he will try and see his tactics are failing.
Looks like in the last vote he only received 86 votes with 112 republicans voting to move on to someone else. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...31&cvid=a70c8136f80949b19aaea3e6ef2f84de&ei=9
Facing death threats, some House Republicans are meeting the MAGA monster they created https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/opin...n&cvid=2d4fa8846d214863abba2c61049ce855&ei=96
I predict that a few of those 9 Republicans that sit in Biden districts (Like Lori Chavez-Dehremer) are going to make a sweet deal with the Dems. Let the pork flow!
